Well this is the first time we are going to see Igawa this season. Girardi Needed to shake up his starting rotation with Hughes on the DL and Kennedy back to the Minors.
What do you guys think we will see tonight
I really hope this kid can step it up considering all the money we are paying him
But this Tigers team can flat out Hit a shakey pitcher!
Is this a bad first start for his confidence....I think it might be
Good Luck Kei Igawa
GO YANKS
We need to string some wins together
Run support is huge for this kid tonight!

I have mixed feelings about tonight. He started off in AAA pitching some good games, but his numbers slowly started to go up so I don't want to expect from him. He will have a high pitch count and I'm sure of that, but if he keep the ball down then it may not be that bad. I want him to pitch a good game and I'm sure he wants to prove he wasn't a waste of money.
It might come down to the Yankees offense if he wins or not. Going against old man Rogers with a high ERA should help the Yankees. It looks like everyone is finally warming up.
I will be watching the game at a bar just in case I really need to drink.

Since it is Rogers on the mound, a lefty, that will hurt Igawa. I think he pitches well enough to win. That would be around 4 runs in 6 innings.

Ohhhhh god, why Igawa. I chose him to get a win, but not do so great. Igawa really hasnt proven himself anywhere, execpt for in Japan, which doesnt count. I think Igawa will do good only if he does good in the first inning, if he walks or allows a runner to get in scoring posistion, even without letting him score; Igawa will feel as if New York isnt backing him up, thats because they are not. But maybe since NY doesnt expect alot out of him, (after seeing what he did last year) He could pull it off and do well.

The Tigers might be a good test for Igawa... A good lineup that has been slumping for the last week or so. So hopefully thier slump will continue.
Plus Rogers is more concerned as to why his social security check is a day late than with pitching...

he needed to get sheff....oh well, at least he's not walking guys around the bases like last year. he's already thrown 60 pitches thru 3. Girardi will be psyched if he goes 6 and gives up another run.

It's got to be time to get rid of this bum. Either make him a career minor leaguer, or just send him packing. There is obviously nothing there that resembles MLB talent. I was curious to see how he did with his second chance, but nothing's changed. He is still absolutely horrible.
So, let's see who the next one is to fill in before Phil Hughes is set to come back. Once again, whoever it is, can't be any worse.
Has everyone heard all of the David Wells rumors going around? I loved Boomer when he was in the Bronx, but I really hope that they don't do anything stupid here.

I was hoping for the best but it just didn't work out. Of course the defense didn't help out much but that's not why he stunk. I don't get it. He has some good stuff but for whatever reason, he can't put it together. A typical Quad -A player. Maybe an NL team can use him and we can get something back on the investment.
