So I have Chipper Jones and in an effort to be more competitive in a few other areas in my 5x5 roto the trade on the table is

Chipper for Jake Peavy, Mariano Rivera and Rafeal Furcal

Furcal was just the extra add in but is that a trade thats acceptable or no?  Or should Furcal be taken off the trade?

Thoughts?

Paul has stated that Peavy is of the table, so I'm guessing that to get him, you'll need more than Chipper Jones to get him alone.  Adding Rivera and Furcal just increases the likelyhood of a rejection.  I know I'd ask for more than just Chipper for Peavy.

he isn't off the table in this trade, I made that clear prior to trade talks.

If he has a Chipper man-crush you should give it a shot, but if I'm in his shoes, I demand more.  He surprised me with how easily he gave up Wirght, so who knows.

You guys sure seem to know an awful lot about each other's leagues and teams.  Are you all in one league or what?

I'm not sure why the other guy wants Chipper that bad.  He may be jumping frustrated with Jake Peavy, who isn't exactly piling up wins, but Jake's just not a guy you sell low on.  Throw in Rafael Furcal and you've got a steal.  I've been saying this since pre-draft times, but Furcal is the real deal this year.  It's not coincidence his numbers haven't been like this since his last free agent year -- the guys a whore in that he only puts out his best when money is on the line.

Uh-huh. You've never seen a league like this. We counsel each other, cajole each other, and amazingly never sabotage someone else's prospective trade. And then when the deal goes down, we file objections like the world is ending.

I guess I am missing something here or someone is pulling our legs.  Chipper alone for Peavy, Rivera and Furcal?  No league in their right mind lets that trade go through.  I can only think Chipper for one of the 3.  In roto I wouldn't trade any of the 3 straight up for always gimpy Chipper.

Without Furcal i say you don't take the deal. Rivera isn't as dominant as he was and the Yankees pitching is so bad he might not have many opprutunities. Furcal makes the trade fair.
