Quinn Sypniewski is offically out for the season.  Its a real bummer becuase he played very well last season with all the injuries that happend.  Lets hope our team can stay healthy this year.

You really thought he played well for us last year?  I'm not  trying to bash the guy, he was a good blocker but he was a terrible receiver.  Just my opinion that he can easily be replaced.....

That's bad news.  I like him.  I thought that once Heap & Wilcox went down last year, he played well.  I didn't think he was a terrible receiver.  I liked what I saw.

He was a solid reciever, not spectacular, but he made the catches that were thrown his way. a poor mans Todd Heap.

Usually if you need a poor mans recieving tight end you develop an nba draft reject (like we have) otherwise if were using a power 2tight end set (which I like the idea of) or goalline then we can throw in any of our rookie linemen.

As long as Heap is healthy it wont really be that big of an issue, the dropoff from Quinn to any serviceable undrafted rookie is not that big.

That is tough, he's a solid backup TE and this team needs two worthy backups at TE due to Heap's injury history. Love the play of Todd Heap, but let's face it, he's hurt early and often. Hopefully he gets a healthy season in, but don't bet on it. Wilcox will need to play well and the Ravens will need to be on the lookout for a third TE.

We happen to be very good at developing good blocking and recieving TE's  out of nowhere...anyone remember trent smith, Darnell Dinkins, sypnewski, and Daniel Wilcox.

All indications are this may not have an adverse effect on the Ravens.  With the depth of tight end being suspect at best right now, the Ravens have stated a desire to go with three wideout sets depending on the personal.  I hope this holds true because they are going to have to find ways to move the chains without having tight ends on the field or at the line, flexing Todd Heap or Daniel Wilcox out.....
