1) Patriots (a 2 or 3 loss season is realistic)

2) Chargers (If they were that good with Billy Volek and no LT in the playoffs imagine how good they'll be next year.)

3) Jags (This could finally be their year. Great coaching, great D and great running game)

4) Steelers (Always tough. The new RB combo is going to be deadly come playoff time)

5) Colts (After crapping the bed vs. Volek and the 3rd string Chargers I need to see something from this team to rank them higher than this)

6) Bills (The biggest over achievers in the AFC)

7) Titans (Well coached and made the playoffs last year)

8) Texans (after going 8 - 8 I think this is the year they finally earn a winning record)

9) Broncos (headed in the wrong direction but still a top 10 AFC team)

10) Jets (How many years can they possibly go on without a good QB?)

Hey guys. This is a Bills fan here. Thanks to all you guys thinking we can make the playoffs this year. I thought we were overhyping, but it feels good to know that great Colts fans with a great team can also think we can do good, too. Well, anyways...

1. Colts-my #2 team, and they have the offense and the defense
2. Chargers-played well without Phillip Rivers or LT in the Pats AFC championship game
3. Patriots-play well yet again, but not as good because of the super bowl loser curse or the loss of many defensive playmakers
4. Jaguars-they have a chance to win it all. They are good enough in every position.
5. Browns-I think they can win the North this year with an improved D.
6. Steelers-Same, regular, good season
7. Bills- my favorite team. I can go on and on, but I just think we'll do great. I hope Trent Edwards is our next Jim Kelly.
8. Texans-an underrated team that has a good chance to win if Matt Schaub is healthy and Andre Johnson continues playing well. The D has potential, too.

You both have 4 teams from the AFC South making the playoffs.

I believe the idea of the rankings were the best teams, not the teams going to the playoffs. Thats not exactly the same thing.

Titans - lack of WR's hurts, as does the loss of both starting DE'sWe lost an overcheiving starting DE (in contract year) and a 2nd string DE (30 mill for a second string.)  That is not going to keep us from being a top team in the conf. though, if VY doesnt take the next step we will be hard pressed to make the playoffs

I live here in Baltimore, and they do not even know who is playing where on the OL. I do not care who's playing QB or RB, w/o an OL that is stable and can block then I do not see them being in the top 8.....but this is the NFL and anything can happen

still, who is going to replace your DE's in TEN?  and how is young going to take the next step with no one to throw to?  i mean, it's definately possible for the Titans to have a great year, but unless it is 100% running game with white/johnson/young, i'm not sold on it.

Here is my best shot:

1A - Colts:  I have the Colts as my 1a team and the Pats at 1b.  I made my decision based on the offseason.  The Colts only got better,  and the Pats got older??   That is why I have the Colts at 1A, but both teams are by far the best coached so it will be interesting to see what happens.

The Colts D will be healthy with more depth.  Plus, we didn't lose anyone expect for Rob Morris??   The D shoud gel even better this year.  Plus, our offense has more depth at RB and WR than last year..  Same ol' same ol' for the Colts.  We have the guns to win in all, but will our depth hold up??  That is going to be the key.

1B - Patriots:  The most explosive offense in the league last year.  They did lose Stallworth and I think that will prove to be a little bigger than what everyone expects.  Also, Moss isn't getting any younger and he tailed off last year.  The defense is good, but aging faster than the bananas I have sitting in my kitchen..

2 - Jaguars:  I thought about the Chargers here because they are probably the most talented team in the league on defense, but when it comes down to it, I went with coaching and QB play.  I think Garrard is going to be very good QB.  Especially behind that massive O-Line and running game.  The recievers aren't that great, but they are improved???  Plus, this team has so much DRIVE to win the South and knock off the Colts.  They will have Peterson back, and a few rookies from last year (Reggie Nelson), that are going to be VERY good.

3 - Chargers:  They have the most talent on defense in the league, but the coaching isn't all that great.  The defense relies to much on talent rather than coaching, but that defense is very scary..  I HATE Rivers, but he is good QB.  Tomlinson isn't getting any younger and doesn't have Turner to back him up anymore.  That may slow him down a little later in the season.  The recievers should be improved with Chambers gettting the offseason to work with Rivers, and Jackson is.. well Jackson???  Who knows.  Gates should produce as always.  The O-Line is great.  Scary team, but I think their coaching sells them short.

4- Steelers:  The Steelers could be #1 after all is said and done.  Tomlin is going to be a great coach.  He will have that defense playing very well this season.  Polomalu should be healthy as well.  They have Mendenhall now to spell Parker and Limas Sweed will be another target for Big Ben along with Ward, Holmes, and Heath Miller.  If the Steelers can protect Ben and get back to playing Steeler type defense, look out AFC??  They could steal the whole show.

5- Browns:  This ALL depends on Anderson.  Was he a one year fluke??  Anderson is going to be on a short leash with the fans in Cleveland.  They all want Quinn so it will be interesting to see what happens AFTER Anderson has a bad game or two?  If he steps up like he did last year, that offense will be very explosive with the addition to Stallworth?  Braylon Edwards may be my #1 fantasy wideout next year, and Winslow is a stud when he isn't killing himself during the offseason.  The defense is young, fast, and getting better.  If they can put it all together, they could win that division.

It really tails off from here but here are my final 3:

6 - Texans:    Yea I said it..  The TEXANS.  I like their offense.  Schuab is very good and they have depth at QB with Sage who played well in his absense.  Andre Johnson should be back and is an elite reciever.  The O-Line actually showed some promise last year.  The defense is extremely young but with Williams, Okoye, and Ryans, they have A TON of talent.  They have decent depth at WR, and signed Chris Brown at RB.  In Kubiaks scheme, he may have a decent year??  This team is well coached and I think the make the playoffs..  There I said it!!

7 - Bills:  Another interesting team.  First, they play in the weakest division in football so that will help their case.. Second, they may have a bona fide pro bowler calibur QB.  It's to early to tell, but Trent Edwards, after being hurt almost his ENTIRE senior year in college, steps in as a starter his rookie year and plays that well???  I don't care who you are, that is IMPRESSIVE.  Marshawn Lynch is a good back and they have depth at that position.  They drafted Hardy who can take some heat off of Evans.  A good O-line and a defense that really came on towards the end of the year even though they had a RASH of injuries.  A young team that is well coached.  The only reason I have them at 7, is because they play in the Junior Varsity division on the AFC.

8 - Broncos:  Another well coached team.  Cutler is one of the top QB's in the AFC.  They defense is experienced and they have veteran leadership in Bailey and Williams.  Brandon Marshall should be healthy and if Cutler and Marshall can keep from bickering all year, they should be a really nice tandem.  Stokley showed a pulse last year and Travis Henry should be healthy as well.  This team just dumbfounds me though??  They have great talent, but they keep coming up short.  If they can stay healthy, they will be in the playoffs because the AFC west, with the exception of the Chargers, is a joke.  The Raiders have no leadership, and the Chiefs have little offense, and a patchwork defense.

Well, that is my OPINION only..  It all depends on depth???  If any of these teams can stay healthy, they are a sure thing to make the playoffs.

A Colts fan rooting for Jaguars what has this world coming too.

1. Colts until the Jaguars knock them off the top then there is no arguement. Hopefully this year the Jags finally do it.

2. Jaguars there is no team in the NFL that has more depth, solid Offense and Defense that I honestly can think of and I actually compared this team to every other team in the NFL

3. Chargers outstanding team with no real head coach, too many injuries on Offense will keep this team struggling this year

4. Steelers hard hitting team with tons of determination, if the run game returns this team will be tough, if not then it will be a long year

5. Texans a legiment threat in the AFC South with two missing pieces a solid RB and OT to put them over the top. Only time will tell

6. Bills have a solid OL to keep the Run Game going with the acquisiton of Marcus Stroud might have enough power to knock off the over rated, bandwagon Patriots from teh top spot. I will not rate the Patriots in the top 8 this year because I will not even think they will make the play offs this year

7. Browns will have to duplicate last years miracle season to even get a chance to knock off the Steelers

8. Titans will be hard to play this year but will miss the #6 seed in the wild card race down the stretch

1. Patriots - Best schedule, Still best team till someone proves different

2. Jaguars - Kept getting better as season went on, off season moves should help

3. Colts - Still amoung elite, sense a little slip though

4. Chargers - Will need to prove they can beat Pats to get over that hump

These teams are far and away in a class by themselves. 5-8 you could shuffle and they could fall out in any order.

5. Steelers - no real change from last year - lack big play potential

6. Browns - would like to rate higher but have you seen that schedule, especially early

7. Buffalo - could be the browns of this year, probably most improved team, QB position still questionable

8. Titans - will go as far as Young has improved and can take them. Defense carried this team last year and they suffered some losses there in off-season

1.) New England ( I along with everyone else hates this team and that city. I cant put my Chargers ahead of them because they have beaten us in the playoffs back to back years. They do have one of the greatest QBs of this era and a solid defense. No way in hell are they going undefeated in the regular season again. Their secondary could be a BIG problem for them next year.)

2.) San Diego (Talent on both sides of the ball. Proved they can win in the playoffs on the road in a hostile enviornment. This season rests on Philip Rivers' shoulders. If he stays healthy next year, look out. I also expect LT to have a very productive year. The secondary will be even better next year. )

3.) Indy (The only reason I dont have them ahead of SD and New England is because San Diego and New England have their number. Good team. Good on both sides of the ball)

4.) Cleveland

5.) Houston

6.) Jacksonville

7.) Pittsburgh

8.) Buffalo
