The next week could be very important in closing the gap between the D-Backs and the Rockies. The D-backs have lost 5 of their last 7. The Rockies are playing their best ball in the last 2 games and go into San Diego who has been struggling. After the 3 games with the Pads the Rox will go to Az for 3 against the D-backs. With Arizona having somewhat of a slump the last week the time is now to get back into this. Great match up tonight with Cook vs. Peavy. Go Rockies.

That was a big win tonight. Going on the road against another NL West team and all. You're right, this week is vital. The Rox really need to get some wins over their division rivals and close the gaps between them and the Dodgers and Diamondbacks.

You're absolutely right.  The Rockies have an excellent opportunity in the next week to really get things rolling and set a tone for the rest of the season.  We know that they are better than they have played so far this year, and it looks like they are starting to finally play some real baseball....Their pitching has finally come around and is being dependable (even though they lost the first two in the series to the Cards, they still did a good job of keeping them in the game and giving the offense a chance).  But it all comes down to pitching, and Ubaldo and De La Rosa need to prove to be dependable.  Also, Francis needs to get back to how he was pitching last season.  His last few starts have been strong, but not ace material...

Lets go Rockies, another loss for the D-Backs today and 6 of 8. The D-Backs have only managed 8 hits in their last 2 games. With the Rockies timely hitting and pitching getting stronger, these are the times where you have to win. Lets hope the tables have turned. Go Rockies!!!!!!

That's not the way to get it done! The D-Backs get swept by the Cubs and the Rockies only win 1 game from the last place Padres. Your only beating yourself when you have that kind of  situation and you blow it. 3 games coming up in Arizona next and they have lost 7/10. Hey Rockies are you hungry for it?

Go get those Diamondbacks...Rockies hopefully can pull out a series. Dbacks are ripe for the picking.

I know you guys are dissapointed in the Padres series, but keep your chin up. I was impressed with your rookie pitcher Reynolds today. he showed a lot of poise in his MLB debut. Dodgers are starting to show their true mettle too 5-5 in last 10 after being 9-1 a few days ago.

I still feel the three best teams in the west are the Rox, Dbacks and my Padres.

Who will win it? Who knows. (kinda like last year)

c-ya all in July (next time Rox and Pads play)...Hey, by then Broncos and Chargers training camps will be real close to opening....Come-on-football
