I would just like to point out that the Baby Pens ended the Phantoms playoff run last night as well. A sign of things to come.

GO PENS!!!

Dork. It's one game. It's fun to watch small-towners try to dig up some venom or gloat when they get a taste of success. The skies aren't parting b/c the Pens are up 1-0 and your minor league team won a tough series. Go eat your meat and potatoes, part your hair down the middle, and all those other white bread habits you so innocently subscribe to. And "cheer on the boys," though try not to cream yourself the next time the Pens score a measly goal.  Long series ahead, best of 7, and the longer this goes, the worse for your boyish knights in shining armor.

There's over 2.8 million people in the Pittsburgh metro area. That's not small. And you're from Virginia so who are you talking to?

You can thank freak injuries for allowing the Pens to have a much easier time of the first two games.

I have to admit that the Flyers don't have much of a shot loosing the two guys they lost. Not only did they lose two players, but the others have to skate extended ice times... leaving them worn out quickly during shifts.

That's ok though... I'll enjoy watching the Pens get their lunch handed to them against Detroit.

"6 more wins to go"... yeah... sure. Who are you trying to fool???... yourself??? lol

Do you really believe the Pens have a shot at winning against Detroit?

Come on now... nobody does.

Do you honestly believe that even without those injuries you guys would have had a chance in hell. You make me laugh. Regarding Detriot, if ANYONE has a chance, then it's the City of Champions. They may have killed everyone in the west, however we have killed everyone in the east. If you think that series will be a blowoff loss you have another thing comin.

Boy... I'm going to laugh when the Flyers kick the Pens in the ass tonight... game three.

Lots of noise coming from fans of a team that never beat the Flyers in the playoffs... oh'fer 3 buddy boy.

What the heck are you talking about... chance in hell.

Ummm... didn't the Pens have a grand total of seven points more than the Flyers in the regular season? Yeah... their gods and stuff.

Yeah... they had 7 points more than the Flyers and Detroit had 13 more than the Pens.

Hmmm.

Ummm... yeah... ummm... I don't have a TV... what happened?

Ok... I can admit when the Flyers are over-matched... they are. They are so much slower than the Pens... of course, the very recent injuries played a decent part of that.

I'm not saying that the two injuries would have made the difference... and that the Flyers wouldn't still lose the series... because the Pens are the number 2 seed and the Flyers are the 6th. I definitely don't think it would three games to none right now had our best player not gone down with a freaking blood clot...  are you kidding me?

Excuses aside, I would like to see Pittsburgh beat the Wings... except for the fact that some of you have been so damn pompous about the Pens and how the Flyers never could have beat them. Ummm... the Flyers took them in the regular season... it wasn't as if this was last year when the Pens were 8-0 against the Flyers.

On one hand I
