In my mind not a good choice. Carlisle showed with both Detroit and Indiana that he can't take very talented teams to a title (not even the championship series). I would question if Dallas is "Really Talented", so Cuban just decided to hire a coach that would lead them to 50+ wins in the season and a bow out in the playoffs before the finals. Huh? and that is an upgrade? and for the Del Harris comment that another sports fan made, has anyone seen Del Harris lead any of his teams anywhere??? Some coaches are better off being great assistants. Finally, if Dallas is going to really compete in the West, with the only goal of winning it all, they are going to have to make some roster changes. They need help down low, they need a two gaurd that can create his own shot, and they need a shut down defender....because the Lakers, Hornets, and Jazz are just going to keep getting better.

After winning 61 games, David Stern decided to become Ben Laden (is Goodell listening?) and 911 the Pacers and Carlisle became the fall guy.  It's too bad he has to work for a nut case like Cuban.
