How much weight did Ramirez lose between last season and this season?  It looks to me like he has gotten really thin.

I agree. He looks at least 10 lbs. lighter this year. Unfortunately, he doesn't appear to be any faster running the bases!

I agree, he does look much thinner and hopefully that means he has a work out routine that will keep his groin and hammy healthy this year, it seems like he has missed  several games each year with one or the other.

to me it has seemed like the past 2 or 3 years he comes in a little smaller than the year before. Either that or the pst 2 or 3 years i keep getting bigger ;-).

Its not just him but Big Z is turning into Smaller Z. He played soccer in Colombia or something all winter to stay in shape and it really look slike its helping his pitching, If Brandon Webb wasn't such a monster then Big Z might be #1 for the Cy Young.

The guy has been taking some healthy hacks since coming back from the minor wrist injury. He looked really thin to me as well, even since the start of the season.

My theory is he stopped frying all of his chickens in order to let them fight.

Bottom line, if the game is on the line, no doubt about it, Aramis Ramirez is the Cubs player i'd want batting in that situation.

pothead.... interesting that u think that... i honestly don't know who i'd want up with the game on the line this year.... there is a large list of guys to chose from this year unlike years past. Aramis Ramirez being one. But then I think I'd take Derek Lee or Koske Fukudome, heck i'd even take Rodney Cedeno off the bench, and lets not forget Giovani Soto (gotta learn how that first name is spelled). Truth is there are alot of guys, some I did not even mentioned, that I wouldn't mind being up with the game on the line. Not to mention that as Soriano gets that stroke going again I am sure he will then be able to be added to that list. Not a bad delima to be in, there are lots of people I wouldn't mind being at the plate with the game on the line, so many that I am not sure who I would want up there the most.
