Braves at Pirates (Game Two)

Chuck James (2-1  7.62 ERA)  vs Tom Gorzellany (2-3 6.91 ERA)  This looks like a bad pitching matchup on paper, but Chucky has pitched well recently and Gorzellany isn't a pushover. However it won't really mattter much if we can't score with RISP, I'm willing to bet Greg Norton is in the top 5 with Runners in Scoring position. Come on Bravo's, start another winning streak, and get those bats hot.

Prediction Braves 7-5

Every year, there is a team the Braves should destroy, but can't.  Last year it was the Reds, but this year it is the Pirates.  Go figure, we sweep the Reds finally, and the Pirates own us.  I have high hopes for this game though.  Chuck James is pitching, and I have a ton of faith in him.  My only fear for tonight is Xavier Nady.  I can almost guarantee he will take James deep at least once tonight.  let's start getting our bats warm for the series against the Phillies.

Why can't we beat the Pirates? They are a pathetic team and it's so frusterating to lose to them. ATL better have their crap together tonight.

The Mets won their first game of their twin bill with the Reds and the Phillies already lost. If the Mets lose, we have a chance to get last nights game back.

It may sound obvious, but we really need to get some early offense!!

The Braves offense just can't leave it all up to the starter like they did last night!!  Chuck James is certainly no Tom Glavine!

Well Larry, Nady scares the crap out of me to. It seems like he always killed us when he was a Met, and now that he's a Pirate he's been doing the same. Let's hope Chucky doesn't give up a couple of bombs.

And Cheese, I agree the Pirates are bad, but pitching to Sanchez was stupid last night. He already had two hits, and the ball he hit almost took Bennett's head off. Last night was frusterating enough, I hope it doesn't ruin my whole weekend.

GO HOTLANTA    (Come on Tex, if you want to get paid like Andruw, you shouldn't be hitting like him. I know I'll get ripped for that, but it seems every time Chipper does something Tex can't and if Chipper get's out, then Tex rips the ball, just my opinion.
