a golden opportunity to get on a role, but "NO", Willie Randolph puts together a line-up for today's 2nd game of the doubleheader that completely sucked.  This is one reason why 1)  I don't think the Mets will win the division and 2) won't make the playoffs.  It sometimes seems Willie Randolph plays to lose.  Chavez, Easley and Anderson in the line-up all at once, come.  Alou, Church and Castillo had 3 hours to rest.  This tells me were too old and need to get some young players on our team that want to and can play.  What happened to the gamers like in the old days, doubleheaders were back to back and nobody got or wanted a rest?

Yes, Willie now isnt the time to let everyone play....lets get this team on a roll and then maybe think about it...This team is struggling and need some wins....After game 1s win, this maybe it....get on a roll....but no.....

Hopefully Willie puts in the right lineup for tomorrow.....Come on Willie, time to wake up and smell the coffee.....Florida is leading the NL East.....

i agree the Mets will probaly play around 500 ball for the year because of age and there is just to many streaky hitters in the lineup that will not be on the same page at the same time through out the season plus leader willie has no balls no one deserves a night off that is'nt catching

I can understand Luis Castillo sitting out the second game, he can barely make it through one (thank god we have this guy for 3 more years).  And obviously Schneider's rest was well deserved...even though Mike Pelfrey is 2-0 with an ERA like 4 runs lower when Brian catches compared to Casanova and now Ramon Castro.  But Alou is fresh off the DL and he only has a couple of games under his belt, I'm sure at even 40+ he isn't feeling the fatigue yet.  The one that bothers me the most, and I'm sure most other logical Met fans, is Church taking a seat.  Theres no reason for it.  Let Endy go play left field and keep Ryan in the lineup.  Theres no reason to take the glue thats been holding the few bright spots of this early season together out of the lineup.  But my sleeper move would have been to start Castro in the first game and save Schneider for Pelfrey.  It seems like Mike needs him...though he didn't pitch that poorly tonight.

whatever lineup willie put out there made  arroyo look like cy young ?come on arroyo tops out at 88 miles an hour.last year we saw willie do this numerous of times always resting someone only to have that player go in a slump.

The Mets need to win as many games as they can its not like we are in first place with games to spare. I guess Willie hasnt learn from his mistakes. didnt we loose the NL East  by 1 game last year ? come on Willie lets get and stay aggressive .
