Manny Ramirez sitting out with a sore right hamstring. Apparently hurt it last night when he beat out the double play in the 9th inning. Jacoby Ellsbury starts in left.

Jed Lowrie sent down today with Alex Cora off the DL. According to the Globe, Sean Casey is with the team but won't be activated until tomorrow, with Craig Hansen still seeming the most likely to go back to Pawtucket.
Bryan Corey was traded to the Padres for a player to be named later, or cash.

Being that I can only catch NESN via MLB.tv, I can't get the pre-game. can someone plz update me on the status of Manny's hammy (Bucky you told me you watch every pre-game, I'm counting on you). Not that I'll get upset over Manny being injured, but have there been more injuries so far this season compared to seasons past?

but have there been more injuries so far this season compared to seasons past? No idea, but my guess is no or one of the too many reporters in the world would have written an article by now.

Lowrie and masterson are being shown as trade bait. I doubt those two are with the Sox at the end of next seasonwow, didn't know that btown... I'd hate to see either one get traded because I saw Masterson as maybe a good call up later on for our pen'... his ceiling is a #2 set up man and dominant at that if he continues on like he has... as far as Lowrie,I also had visions that someday he'd be at SS because of our situation at the position where we can't seem to stick with one guy

It is crazy how well everyone has been hitting on the team this season. Manny is out of the lineup and i still feel confident with this lineup.
lol, I thought the very same when they said he was out tonight... ahh, we have Youk' killing the ball, Ellsbury always being a pain in the butt, Pedroia is solid and Ortiz is back to his old form... even Teks come thru at times.. would like to see Drew pick it up a step, like starting tonight
and last but not least Lowell, doing great

LOL...But there are/were so many big namers with trouble. A-Rod, Schilling, Posada, Blaylock, Smoltz, Hampton, Westbrook, D-Train, Nomar, Jason Schmidt, Eric Chavez, Clement, Mulder, Carpenter, Vernon Wells. I left out most of the oft-injured guys (Prior, Pedro, El Duque etc...).

I know. LOL. And Cora comes back tonight with a 1.000 avg. (3 for 3)
Seroiously, though, we'll see at the end of the month. Last May is when Drew and Lugo caught their cases of the horribles.

tough break for he RSN ....
You's guys need to get Lugo back in there after his little bump on the head.

It's hard for me to say ( type ) this but :
GoTwinks !
p.s. I hate the f-ing Twins and that stupid dome. The only thing good about it is that the weather outside can be frighful but there will always be a game.

huh, I said that a week ago. not just the Red Sox with Beckett, Shill', Casey, Lugo ( now), Lowell, Coco a couple games with Ellsbury, Timlin, but a constant update of injuries ... The Wells one could be the one that broke the camels back for the Jays right now... saw it today and it was the same as when Matsui had his wrist broken, but to a lesser extent I guess
