I can't stand Kyle Busch and don't know why!

I'm a Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan and I'm really proud of Jr this year he is 3rd in the standings and doing great. I know he hasn't won a race yet but if not for Kyle Busch he would of last week I think, but who knows right Dale may have blown a tire or whatever you know racing and the many things that can happen. But I'm still happy about him being in 3rd in the standings plus he has 3 top 5's and 7 top 10's doing awesome. Just being in the top 12 makes me happy. However for some reason I can't stand Kyle or Kurt Busch, WHY, I really just don't know because they haven't done anything (except for last week)  to me. Kyle is only 23 years old, and he is going to be around for along time because he can flat out drive the tires off a car. I feel I had to get this off my chest so maybe I could get over it, you know they say if you have a problem and talk about it things will get better.  I hope it does because, it sure can't be healthy to not like someone for no other reason than them being them.

Before I started to really listen to interviews and my Nascar favorites were limited to my favorite make car or maybe a sponsor, I never gave much respect to Dale Jr.  I petty much rooted against him because he was so popular.  Now that I have gotten into racing on a more knowledgable scale and once you really listen to what drivers say and do, I have done a 180 and have to say that Dale Jr. is my favorite driver.  He is a a straight talker, he calls it like it is, he doesn't make excuses, and he keeps his cool.  I have great respect for Dale Jr. now.

As far as Kyle Bush, he is a great driver.  Beyond that he is an idiot.  (Cry baby, excuse for everything, personallity of a piece of cardboard.....you get the idea)  Don't feel bad not knowing why you don't like him.  He's like the kid in High School that nobody liked not because he was not athletic or smart, but because he was a gomer.

As a nascar newbie, I personally am a fan of Busch. I don't much care for what at times seems to be a lot of whining, and sore sportsmanship when things dont go well, but his aggressiveness impresses the hell out of me. He seems to want to win every lap of every race. I am pretty sure at some point it is going to bite him in the ass a time or two but I tend to like aggressive rather than conservative in sports.

As for why you dont like him. Obviously, being a dale jr fan you cant help but hate him after last week. It was definitely a wreck that could be seen either of a few different ways depending on your loyalties. As a Busch fan I tend to think 'neither guy gave an inch, he got loose and wound up taking dale out." That said, i can certainly see how Jr fans could look at the same tape and think 'the little bastard just took him out'. Truth be told that was MY first reaction when it happened and I started wondering if I had picked the right driver to root for.

More than that though,  I think it is just a matter of him not being on your team or being 'your driver' . That happens a lot in sports. If the talented brat(or pain in the ass) is on your team hes GREAT. If he is NOT on your team hes just a rich,overpaid spoiled athlete. A couple of examples off the top of my head.

Baseball: Manny Ramirez, for years played for the cleveland indians and I couldn't stand his lackluster attitude at times. Now he has been with my Redsox for the past several years and it has become 'well thats just manny being manny'.

Basketball: Dennis Rodman: I never liked him at all in any way shape or form. He just irked the piss out of me more often than not. If he had ever been on the Celtics, I am guessing I would have thought differently. When he was with the pistons I imagine bulls fans thought he was a cheap shot artist, When he became a bull the cheap shot artist suddenly became a 'hard nosed player willing to do the dirty work that needed to be done.'

All that said, I too am glad to see Jr doing so well. Hell if not for the rest of the nascar world (or at least EVERYONE at work), seeming to be a Jr fan he likely would have been my choice to root for.

People don't dislike Busch just because of the Jr incident....its just one in a long line.  Did you see him wreck Biffle this weekend?  Another leader, another tap to the bumper that nearly sent him into the wall, Biffle did an amazing job to keep that car on the track and would have won if not for mechanical troubles.  Now the "Hard Racing " is all fine and dandy if like Dale Sr. you take it like a man when someone taps you...but Kyle whines for his mommy every chance he gets.  S. Wallace didn't even have to get out of his car to whip Kyle, and not many drivers would have to.  Can't understand how Stewart can stand to be on Lil' B***h's team.

  You are having the same reaction to ( Stick Boy ) Kyle Busch that alot of people are having, i can't stand the PUNK , but, what can you do!  I'm also a Jr. fan and am enjoying this season even though there are no wins as of yet. He'll get a couple this year so i'm not worried there. Kyle Busch might serve himself well with just shutting his big piehole and let his racing talk for him. I don't mind the aggressive driving he does since Dale Earnhardt Sr. was as aggressive at one time as Kyle is now , but , the difference is Dale Sr. never incessantly whined like Kyle does. This season also shows that Dale Jr. is a talented driver whose relationship  with his stepmother (car owner) indeed hurt his chances the last couple seasons.  Jr. will win a championship it's just when.
