Who will lead the staff in wins this year?

Stats thru first 40 games:

Buchholz: 2 wins, 7 games started

Matsuzaka: 6 wins, 8 games started

Lester: 2 wins, 9 games started

Beckett: 4 wins, 6 games started

Wakefield: 3 wins, 8 games started

Beckett is hitting stride.  It is a big assumption, but as long as his back issues do not force him to the DL, he will be the staff ace.

Matsuzaka got pretty lucky with some of his wins, and Beckett was injured for some of the season unless my momory is wrong, but Beckett is the best of them all, and Buchholz will probably stop pitching when Shilling gets back (if he does much later in the year) Lester is good, but he is getting into his retiring years. Wakefield is pretty good, but not as good at Beckett and Matsuzaka, he will pull back, and will probably get 3rd.

Lester is getting into his retiring years?  He is 25 years old lol.  Buccholz is on an innings limit this season and he may go back down to Pawtucket come late August or early September.  Barring any stints on the Dl i would still say Beckett will lead the staff in wins.
