From this and another comment from Knut, I guess that some of you don't appreciate my sarcasm.

It's not that we don't appreciate your sarcasm or humor Bob. It's more of the fact that between what's going on at USC and your post, it came off as totally believable. That in itself should be very scary to USC and its fans. I understand the need to defend and stand behind your school, as fans we all do it. But there seems to be no doubt that the NCAA cannot turn a blind eye to this one. ESPN alone has busted this story wide open after only a couple days of digging and it could get worse. Like I said in previous posts, I don't think USC was involved in the transfer of money. But ignorance is not a worthy plea as far as the NCAA is concerned. Proof of this is just looking at all the schools that have faced probation in the past. Many of them had nothing to do with the school itself giving money but rather boosters and outside sharks.
In all honesty, I don't see any absurdity here. I do see a school that should really fear the direction their program is headed and even more than that a school that should be very afraid of what the NCAA is about to do. You know how the IRS works; they'll let you build you debt up for years while you think everything is hunky dory. Next thing you know, you owe more than you make in a year. The NCAA may be getting ready to drop an IRS type bomb. It was already said by the NCAA that they didn't have the resources to continue with the RB investigation but even that story is still not over. Now this comes along and it proves things are really out of whack in So. Cal. The denial is slowly fading from every fan but I know from experience (UNLV) you just want to make it through the current season. Meanwhile you know the hammer is going to fall and you pray that it doesn't fall too hard.
But that's just my opinion. Good to see you Bob.
