I'm convinced Jets won't allow more than 28 points to a single team this season. Look at there line up at LB Pace, DE Gholston, DT Jenkins. You guys got some great pass rushers as well as run stopping ablility. I think your best Defensive player is Calvin Pace, you guys are going to be impressed with his athletic ability and phsyical game play. He's going to be one of your top defensive players.

Good news to me, I always like to hear fans from other teams telling us that our players are going to do well. Lets just hope that this defense comes together rather quicly and meshes as a unit right off the bat, we have the athletes on this squad now to do much more than we did last year, and we wern't that bad last year, just couldn't stop second string runners from gaining 100 yrads against us. LOL Seriously we have the makings of an excellent run defense now, I personally feel that we have the best linebacking crew in the NFL, I trust Gholston to be all that the hype promised and Pace and Thomas with our MLB Harris. John Clayton says we get 3 more wins just for strength of schedule plus our additions in free agency, that is encouraging to hear from one of the better rated writers out there. We just have to wait and see how a couple of question marks perform on defense, will they raise their level now that they are surrounded by quality players, I sure hope so.

If the CB opposite Revis(unk who) and MLB next to Harris(Barton?) play better than last year then we should have a great D. Could be one of the best 3-4 units in the NFL!!! DL has quality and depth, OLB have great potential. If offense can sustain longer drives and maybe score a little more, we will have a really great "D".

I agree, we know Revis and Rhodes will play good but, Miller, Hank Poteat, or Lowery need to step up in the other CB position. Barton also needs to step it up and help out Harris. But the D looks real good with new players like Pace, Jenkins, and Gholston I think we are lookin good.

Yeah the only reason I don't worry too much about the corner opposite Revis and our safety next to Kerry Rhodes is because of the Giants. Thats why I loved the Gholston pick rather than a CB...you need a good pass rush to win in big games. You need a good pass rush to beat good quarterbacks. You need a good pass rush to get your defense off the field and offense onto the field. Revis and Rhodes will have a million more opportunites to make plays on the ball in the secondary because our LBs will hopefully get to the passer.

I have a feeling this Jets team will remind alot of us of the Ravens team that won the super bowl a few years back. A very good game managing QB who can move the team down the field and use up a lot of clock in the process. The tools to score in the red zone ;and a very tough defense that is kept well rested by the offense. I think we are going to surprise a lot of people.

The other CB will be Justin Miller over Lowery, and at FS I think its going to be between Smith Elam and Lowery. Coleman will also start over Thomas.

JETSMAN23 I thought about what you said before I made it but the reason I know Lowery is starting is because Mangini wants Miller to be a special teams guy until he becomes good enough to be a #2 corner
Coleman will be a pass rushing DE, therefore he will be put in on many 3rd and longs.
Smith is good, Lowery has not even started playing real Jet football and Elam could also.
My new Depth Chart goes like this
LE-Shaun Ellis
RE-Bryan Thomas
NT-Kris Jenkins
LOLB-Calvin Pace
ROLB-My man Vernon Gholston
RILB-Eric Barton
LILB-David Harris
FS-Elam/Smith
SS-Kerry Rhodes
CB1-Darelle Revis
CB2-Hank Poteat
I know that is 11 but
RE2-Kenyon Coleman
CB3-Dwight Lowery
