Well since Spygate has finally died a quick death, I suppose we have to start defending the #1 Power Rankings...eh?

	...and here is why. The Patriots offense last year was dominating and they will tweek what they already have. Defensively the just got a lot younger at LB, they already had the best D-line and the secondary will be BETTER this year than last.

	the Patriots In paper are still stronger ... But ESPN should had put Giants first, come on talk about no respect for the champions and they put my Saints # 11 AFTER THE Packers ? Damn You EsPn !!! And i also think it's too premature to make a Power ranking now ... let's wait after the Pre-season

	The Giants should be number 1 until the season starts, everyone agreed with the Colts being number 1 last year until they won so the same should be said about the Giants. The Patriots offense last year was dominating and they will tweek what they already have. Honest question, how? Who did they add? Defensively the just got a lot younger at LB Younger doesn't mean better. The Ravens are very young on the offensive line with the oldest player being around 26, but they were still one of the worst lines last year and got worse while Ogden was injured they already had the best D-line The Vikings had the best D-line and just made it better. and the secondary will be BETTER this year than last.Again how? Is this addition by subtraction? Before last season started, they talk was how Samuel was the best and hobbs was a liability. Now all I hear is that Samuel was a system CB (which I agree with) and that Hobbs will step it up.

Defensively the just got a lot younger at LB, they already had the best D-line and the secondary will be BETTER this year than last. the Giants clearly have/had the best defensive line in the NFL, or did you miss the Super Bowl when they made the best offensive line in the league look like high schoolers? you forgot to mention that it will be much easier for the Patriots to intercept defensive signals via the air waves. not only will Ernie Adams & Co. save money on videotapes, salaries and benefits. the Patriots and their former CIA communications expert will now have clearer, more reliable signals from the opposition's sidelines.

	If they cheat then I could definitely understand the argument that they are the best team. If they don't cheat then I would put them around #5.
