I agree with you completely. I love the Clady pick, although I'm relying on what scouts are saying about him more than I am my own eyes. I just haven't seen him play much. A little video, but that's it. He looks like a good athlete for his size.
The second pick shocked me, too. I'm sure you were wondering why they didn't grab Jackson while he was still on the board. Both are small guys, but you and I have seen what Jackson can do and it would have been a nice addition to the return game. Maybe this Hokie will work out, though.
From what I've seen of Torain, I like, but I didn't pay too much attention to him this past season so I couldn't say for sure. Shanahan said he believes the kid has first round talent. I don't know about that.
Spencer Larsen was Arizona's most consistent defender for the past three seasons. He's limited athletically but he's a great football player. Reminds me of former Wildcats Marcus Bell and Tedi Bruschi.
The draft was average. The first round pick was solid, but I agree, they fell short of making a significant upgrade in some positions of need. Safety, defensive line, linebacker and a 2nd receiver are all things the Broncos needed to improve on and they didn't.
