Oh man after hearing all the Flyer fans how they are unstoppable because they beat the #3 and #1 seeds and how good they were, I am so happy that the Penguins are pretty much in the Stanley Cup finals, and even more so, have a chance to sweep the Flyers. Before the series started I predicted a sweep by the Pens and the Flyer fans jumped on me calling me an idiot and so on. Well, after seeing game 3, and seeing the looks of the Flyer fans' faces being completely stunned, and probably awed by the greatness of the Pens, I believe we all know who the better team is now. I mean the best way to put it is it's the icing on the cake. The Pens are going to the finals and they put a whooping on the Flyers to get there.

A sweep would be great. I'm watching with reserved optimism. I know the Flyers are going to pull everything they have in game 4. I hope the Pens don't have a let-down going in there up 3-0. If the Pens can get up early, I'll feel much better!

The series may be "over" but you still need 4 wins the last time I checked... The Pens are a good team but I'm still very proud of the Flyers. We had a hell of a turn around this year and the Flyers fans have been (dare I say) classy throughout the playoffs (unlike the Montreal & Washington fans).
I'm happy that the once bankrupt team who's arena had more rats in attendance than fans, NOW has such solid support! Cheers. Hell I'd support teams led by Jagr & Lemieux, & now Malkin & Cindy....Philly fans are true and nothing you guys say changes that. I'm sure most Pens fans on here are 'true fans' but all-in-all, it's easy to brag when you're finally winning, enjoy.
GO FLYERS!!! Gagne, Timmonen & Coburn....get healthy!!!
(*For the record, I have nothing against the Pens....I do hate DC & Montreal though).

i am a Flyers fan. i respect the rivalry these two teams have. i do not repect pens fans who genralize flyers fans. therefore i do not repect you tony99. make fun of the flyers fan or the team all you want, you have that oppertunity to do so. Everyone saw the Penguins being good this year coming, no one saw a 26 win team in the eastern conference finals. i consider this year a success and im sure im not the only flyer fan who thinks so either. I must admit the last thing id want to see is being swept, but thats part of the game. Just keep in mind....every 33 years an nhl team battles back...guess what, its been 33 years. Im holding hope. to end this messege i say congrats to a young (for the most part) Gill looks about 50...but other wise talented penguins hockey club who i will not be routing for in the stanley cup if and when they make it. good season to both teams. one thing is for certain....this years series made next years regular season games that much better

did i hear you right?. . . philly fans and the word classy in the same sentence? that has got to be one of the biggest joke statements ever! i think the fact that philly had a full time judge with a jail INSIDE old veterans stadium says it all. . . not to mention booing santa!

It is wonderful to see them going down in a heap.
I always have a warm sigh of relief when the teams that try to buy their cup, instead of growing through the draft go out.
The fact that is the Flyers, one of my most un-liiked teams makes it all the sweeter.
And yes Tony, you can never suggest to a Flyer fan that they might lose quickly, they are very opinionated and Biased and love you tell you that you are those things too.
This was a story of speed and skill beating brawn and physical play. They were hurt from the loss of the two Defensemen, but haven't been scoring enough to win these games anyway......

After game two I mentioned in a post that this could be a sweep for the Penguins. I did not predict one, I simply said it could happen because they are playing unbelievable hockey. After I said that, a ton of Flyer fans jumped on me, like I had guarenteed a sweep, well Flyer fans what do you have to say about that now?? You all pretty much guarenteed the Flyers would win game three, I believe most of you said because the Penguins won't get all the "ticky tack" penalties, essentially blaming the refs. Well what happened last night?? Was in the refs fault again?? Get your brooms out baby!

Hey rat-farts...first off, like I said above...all your team heard for years in the stands was exactly that...rat farts! I'm happy for the Pens and the fact that you guys are still filling that disgrace of an arena of yours.
And to "theaaace"...you mentioned after Game 2 that there could be a sweep? Way to go out a limb, now you've won 1 game since then and your procliming your a sports genius? You're retarded.
And you may get your "sweep" in your very near future, not against my Flyers though...I'm talking about swept right on your as*es in the Finals! First you need to win your 4th game, then you can worry about winning 1 agaainst the Wings.... Get a clue.
