I know not many people around are very big hockey fans like I, but I wanted to compare these two...Tom Brady, the Golden Boy of the NFL and Sidney Crosby, the Chosen One of the NHL!!!
So Mr. Brady was on the Boston Radio Station, WEEI, and he consistantly bashed ESPN for their extensive coverage of "Patriots SpyGate."...He went on to say that ESPN is only covering it to fill up airtime, and "SpyGate" is a non-issue anymore!! Brady also goes on to say that the analysts that are harshly critical of the Patriots say that craziest of things and what to make things the way they want to make it.
Look, you and your team CHEATED...Of course there is gonna be extensive coverage of it!!! I guess Tom doesn't like be reminding of his team's cheating ways...He will always be remembered as the QB of "Patriots SpyGate"....
So it looks like Tom Brady took the Sidney Crosby approach...Brady cries off the field, while Crosby is constantly crying on the ice!!!!

I also think Brady is upset because on PTI, both Michael Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser said that they would rather hang with Derek Jeter over him...I don't know if any of you guys caught that, but it was hiliarious...They were like Jeter went on to smash 7 of the top 75 hottest women of Maxim and Brady has a kid with one woman and is not the best looking person in his relationship...They were like whoever Jeter dates, he is who everyone wants!!! They called him the "Man" of Sports!!! No one is Derek Jeter...
I agree 100%, Spygate is an important issue and everyone shouldnt just brush it off cause they cheated! The only thing Brady does is whine and bitch, I mean shut up and play football. Crosby complains to the refs after every whistle, Brady does the same. I loved it when Brady was crying everytime he got hit by a Giants defensive lineman.
I lost an avator bet with a Penguins fan...They beat my boys in Blue!!! So I had to make good with my bet!!! I have to sport this til the end of the playoffs...
Anyway, I met Tom Brady one time. This was the year after Super Bowl XXXVI, and though everyone knew who he was, I never paid enough attention to the Patriots to recognize him straight away. I met him at a gas station as ge was on his way down to Foxwoods with a couple other guys (I forget who). My best friend, who's Australian and couldn't give two shits about American football, points out this Hummer limo to me, and I'm like, "Cool! Let's go check it out." I go over, completely unaware that its the Patriots, ask one of the guys (to this day I have no clue who he was) if I can look inside. Bear in mind, I'm wearing a Jets hat at the time, and the guy's kinda taken back. He says, "uh...sure, just don't touch anything." I look around, it's pretty cool, so forth and so on. I ask the guy if it's his or if he's renting it. He says (I think, it's been awhile) "No, Tom's renting it. We're on our way down to the casino." Brady must have been at a weird angle or something, because I still didn't recognize him. "Pretty nice," I say, he just nods and says, "Yeah, it is. Okay, we gotta go." and they all get in and leave. Then we get in our car with our other friend (a Packers fan) and he says, "Guys that was the friggin' Patriots! Paul, you're lucky they didn't shove that Jets hat up your ass!" So, that was my encounter with Tom Brady.
I can say that, generally speaking, there are players for teams I don't like that I genuinely respect as players and as people. For example, I greatly respected Emmit Smith and Troy Aikmen though I don't like the Cowboys (for the sake of my Giants fan dad) and I also liked Doug Flutie even though he played for two teams I don't like in the least. I can also respect Tom Brady for his leadership on the field and ability to win football games, but as a person, he's arrogant, cold, and unfriendly and I do not like him. I honestly don't see myself liking him as a person even if he was a Jet.
I like Sidney Crosby, and I appreciate the NHL looking for their next Wayne Gretsky or Mario Lemeiux, but I do not believe Crosby is the best in the NHL or his own team. I think Evgeni Malkin is a more complete player. He doesn't cry and lead the NHL in points this year. He can check and is a force in front of the cage and on the boards. Alexander Ovechkin is the best in hockey. He carries his team on his back, will check and fight, is the best skater in the NHL, and has learned to get assists. Just one man's opinion.
That is the DUMBEST comparison EVER! The two are nothing alike. Crosby is not a cheater nor is his team. I agree that Malkin and Ovekchin are better but saying that Tom Brady is the whiney NFL version of Sydney Crosby is completely ridiculous. Players of every sport argue calls, refs make bad calls all the time. You would too if you or a teammate was tripped or hooked and a whistle was not blown. You are just bitter that your overrated Rangers got stomped.
