As far as it being biased towards Philly...I'm thinking its more of the network highlighting the home team.  I recall in the first two games at Pitt it seemed like they were interviewing more Penguins players.

But it may be hard for me to judge, although I am a Penquin fan and was going to college in Pittsburgh the last time Penguins were in the playoffs (memorable times at Mr. G's).  And the reason I say that, is I live in Central PA with our cable carrier being Comcast which is out of Philly.  So I get to hear the incessant wining of the local philly sports media.  But it is sort funny, seeing these guys wine year after year with their teams coming up short year after year.

You beat me to it lcjs. Although I haven't read the blog you pulled that out of I did recently become aware of who owned both Versus and the Flyers. The implications are obvious, even if it's not intentional. Having said that, there should be NO bias in the upcoming games. Right? hahahahah... That's like asking Don Cherry to shut up!

Right on old head.  Every Pittsburgh fan should check that blog out on a regular basis as they always seem to have something insightful or funny to say.  I've been reading it for a few months now and it seems consistently good.

For some reason they are biased towards Philly. Before this series started, all I heard was how freakin great  Marty Biron and Dan Briere will be. Anyone who knows hockey could have seen that Philly was not as good as advertised. They beat Washington -who only has one really good player, and Montreal, who had a great regular season, but was not built for the NHL playoffs and barely beat Boston.

Are all the finals going to be on NBC? If you havn't seen the VS whole ice camera at Detroit, it is in an obsolutely aweful place. People are getting up from their seats and blocking the camera the whole game and you cant even see 1/3 of the near ice surface. I can only hope that NBC has a different camera and different announcers.

I secretely hope the Pens lose game 4 and get to win the Eastern Conference at the Igloo!!!!!! It would be so much more satisfying than just seeing 20,000 bummed out Flyer fans leaving their seats. Not to mention it would be a nice little $$$$ bonus to Mario to get another game at home.

i like how a bunch of people are calling philly fans winey because they dont like the announcers!  stop wining about the announcers.  ill tell you what ill trade you the philly biased announcer for the pitt. biased referees!  it is so obvious they want pitt in the finals so they can put sid crosby in the cup since philly took out the best young star in the league when we took out ovechkin!  33 years!

cenzo---

Sorry dude, it's not going to work this year. I know what you are referring to with the 33 years. Not happening. The hockey gods  do not have anything up their sleeves.
