I'm sticking with the 9-10 wins for 2008, I see us as a much improved team overall. What i do think will make a huge difference for us is that our defense should not have to wait till the second half of the season to wake and start playing this year, David Harris is the key to this defensee now, he will be the one calling the formations and sets, he came in last year after weeek 8 and made a great starting impact . Now he starts the season with a much improved linebacking corps that has the depth and quality of players to constantly keep the opposing team from sttling into a routine that works throughout an entire quarter or game. As long as Jenkins actually does come in motivated and has already started on his conditioning and getting his weight down to his optimal level, between him and Pouha they should form a strong nucleus for our nose tackle position. If they can do the job of stopping up the middle of the field then we will see a great defense developing on our team, the secondary will be the final piece of the puzzle, lets hope that we have some gems on the roster who step up and play in the secondary under the guidance of Rhodes and Revis to take away many of the open receivers that other teams have been able to rely upon when playing us. I  think we will do OK ,but expect next years draft to be the one that brings us the other shutdown corner we need.

I actually went through the schedule and posted what I felt the Jets would do this upcoming season...When it was all said and done, I had the Jets finishing up the season at 10-6!!!  Thats with Chad Pennington staying healthy and starting all 16!!! NOw if Kellen Clemens starts all 16, I will put the Jets at 9-7, due to his youth and inexperience!!!

With that said, I really think the Jets need to make a commitment to the QB position, because we need to know if they need to draft a franchise QB or not!!! I'm not sure if Erik Ainge is the future, Kellen Clemens or someone else!!! Thats my main concern entering 2008...

9 wins the schedule isn't that bad and we improved the defense a lot.  We should win 6 games on D alone.

I say we get about ten wins next season,

I say we go 2-0 against that joke of a team called Miami

We go 0-2 aginst the pats but play a good game against them

We go 1-1 with the bill because that's how it seems to go every year even though i think we can very well come away with 2 wins, but i'm sticking to the split until we prove me to be wrong.

We loose to san diego who i think is the most talanted team this year and is my fav for the superbowl

I say we beat Arizona as long as we keep the pressure up throughout the game or those WR's will eat us alive.

I think the Cinci game can go either way, I think cinci is going to play way better than they did last season, but we almost had them last season and this year we have them at home so i'm going to pick us to win.

We beat Oakland @ Oakland just because were the better team, I think Bill C. is going to enjoy this thumping.

I'm expecting Herm and his squad to have a better season than their getting credit for, Herm always seems to get production out of his Rookies and this year he had the pick of the litter, however i think we prove to be to much for his young squad and go 2-0 against our former coach

The Rams can be dangerous while healthy but we play them at home so we come away with the win.

@ Tennessee, this is going to be a fun matchup to watch with two teams that are going to have a strong run game and hard hitting D's, i'm picking Tennessee this game because it's at Tenn, I also wouldn't be suprised if somebody get injured in this matchup.

After Tennesse we play Denver at home, we give Robertson a warm welcome back home, and i think that in this game Gholston is going to give Cutler one heck of a sugar rush and we come away with a win. My mom's a diabetic so i shouldn't make that joke but i couldn't help it.

We go to San fran and come away with a win.

Last but not least, we play at seatle. Right now were probably fighting for a wild card birth so were going to come in swinging but it's at seatle and they have a phenominal record at home so i've gotta pick the Seahawks here.

Lookng at our schedual i see us coming away with no less than seven wins 2 aginst the Dolphins, the Raiders, KC, the rams, the 9ers, the 1-1 split with the Bills , and atleast three losses with those going to the pats and the Chargers. everything else can really go either way and i made my picks being as educated of a guess as i could with much of my determining factor going to the home team. So what do u guy's think of my pre-season pick's

look at the schedule there is no reason we shouldnt go 11-5 9-7 at worst thats only if clemens starts which i hope he will i mean how can u go bak to chad the way i see it

chad got us 1 win last year

clemens got us 3 wins

u do the math clemens gives us the best chance to win plus i think it will save manginis job if he starts kellen bc then he can say well i took a chance with him
