I thought was a decent analysis. Delhomme will be come back player of the year if the line works out! We just can't have him hitting the deck three and four times a game!

mlf6789, it would surprise me if that were to happen.  Sack pressure should be minimalized with the rushing attack we plan to stress.  I don't think Jake will be called on to throw 30 passes a game, and if things go as planned, he could have thte luxury of picking his spots with play action.

I'm sure that was the strategy behind our draft amd FA acquisitions.

mlf...that is a very good point. I also don't see us allowing that to happen. However, DeAngelo Williams has not impressed me with his blocking ability.

There are some questions that have yet be answered...addressed but not stamped for delivery...the O-line is probably the biggest question...followed by the D-line...and it is always scary when your two biggest questions are in the trenches. (Special teams are a close 3rd.)

Time will tell and I think (hope) we will be ready to answer those questions with authority.

Go Panthers.

Great find Kissmyconverse! I to agree that Delhomme could be the come back player of the year. I don't know if you guys have been reading around the message boards but the general consensus is that Jake is "Injury Prone." That baffles me everytime, why? Because about 2 seasons ago he was like 2 games away from breaking the Panthers record for most consecutive starts, i think it he was at like 28 or something. But the point being is that Jake is just going to take all those comments and use them to prove people wrong. Watch, he will start another streak. Hell before last year did you ever hear anybody say we needed a new QB, NO. well OK maybe a little, I heard we need a young QB to groom behind him, but mostly nobody said that he was garbage (except for the haters). But now we have Moore so i think we are what you call "SET" at QB.

Great finds, KissMyConverse and bigdavis.  I've grown to expect nothing less from ya'll.  One thing caught my attention when I read the first article...the Panther's were averaging 25 points a game before Jake got hurt.  If we could have kept up that average throughout last season, we would've been 11-5.  It's stats like that, that make some people predict good things for us this year.
