Hey Dolfans, I just wanted to bring up an interesting question to you guys to also continue the activity on these boards.
We all know darn well that we love our Dolphins and sports in general-- Obviously we are a tight group in here who use these boards to communicate about our team, the greatest team in the history of the NFL.
My question to you guys is what do your parents, wives, sibilings, extended family, friends, etc... think of you spending a great deal of your time online on this message board?
Hope all of that made sense.

I'm at school so none of my family cares or knows that I'm on here. My friends think I'm crazy...but they don't really watch football that much, so they don't really understand.
How bout you Paolo?

Well, for me, my laptop is in my room so no one is ever aware of how much time I spend online. I usually turn my laptop on as soon as I get home from class and leave it on for the rest of the day as I do things around the house-- It's just a way of giving others ways to communicate with me rather than bother me by showing up at my house or calling me.
I don't like to miss out on anything going on with my teams and I take pride in informing my fellow fans in regards to things I hear... So thats why I spend so much time here and on these boards.

Till now it hasn't been an issue, but since I'm about to head to grad school, that may change...

I try to participate before 7 or after 9 (when kids are in bed). My wife is a the product of a High school football coach, so she understands the passion. Doesnt like my avatar, but that's another issue altogether. Maybe I should start a tread about comfortable places to sleep besides the bed.

That's why you're a superstar Paolo. We do appreciate what you for Dolfans everywhere!!
As for me, I am at work most of the time or at the library, so no one really cares. Everyone knows I am a die hard Dolphins fan for life and so they just have to deal with it.
Go Dolphins for LIFE!!!!

I'm usually posting from work after everything is done. The hours are pretty screwy so its hard to get on line the same times as everyone else here. I'm trying to keep up with you guys but its hard! lol
3 hours difference here in Arizona and working from 6:30pm to 8:30 am makes my posting about the exact opposite times from everyone else, except maybe English or Aussie.

I'm only on line 3 days a week at work (I'm a cheap SOB, I won't pay for the service at home) so my wife and kid don't know I'm on the board.
My wife knows I'm a life long Dolfan so she probably wouldn't care. She's bought me Dolphin socks among other things and she also bought me and my son matching Reeboks from the NFL catalog.
I'm also raising my son properly, he's a Dolfan also. He loves Jason Taylor and has his jersey.

I'm usually on line during the evening, no wife or kids. My girfriend is usually on the other computer looking up woman's stuff, you know dresses, shoes, and e-bay. She is not much of a sports fan, but does like beach volleyball and hates Sundays for obvious reasons. Go Dolphins.

My wife is a huge dolfan, so that helps. Plus we have had season tixs for 35 years now.So she doesnt mind me posting. Now the 3 or 4 hours a day I spend playing fantasy baseball might be a different story.

lmao jk
I never got married and moved back in with the parents a couple of years ago to help them out (they are getting a little old). My mother's parents are the reason I am a Dolphan so the family understands my obsession.
True story:
Summer of 1971, my grandmother is talking to some guy she works with about the Phins. She starts spouting out about how good they are and how they will win every game that season. She even wants to bet the guy $5 that they won't lose. The guy gives in and makes the small bet with this fiesty little lady. Of course, history ensues and my grandmother's only sports bet in her life is a win.
These days, grandma is in her 80s and every time she watches a Dolphins game she almost has a heart attack, so we don't let her anymore.
