What the heck for.  Jim Edmonds, although I love this guys intensity is pretty much washed up.  He needs to retire.  The only hope for him and the Cubs is that he sits on the bench and rests for a bit.  And who are the Cubs going to send down to the minors to give room for Edmonds?

This kind of stuff is happening a lot in St. Louis recently.  First, Issac Bruce is let go and signs with the 49ers, a huge division rival, and then Edmonds is traded, and then he about to sign with the Cubs.  This sucks.  Good thing he is pretty old and washed up now.

They're sending Pie down. Read the whole article before posting next time.

Good analogy with Ike, but as a Cards fan first, this makes me sick. I thought I felt bad when John Mabry signed with Chicago but this is sad. It's sad in the sense that the guy's option should have been simple — sign a one-day contract with the Cardinals and hang it up. I'll be at Busch for the 4th of July weekend series against the Cubbies and I can't imagine what the reaction will be. This isn't exactly a Fredo-type back-stabbing, but it's not to go without some brow-beating.

I won't get excited that Jim Hendry is showing his same old commitment to reversing excellence, but it will at least be interesting to see Edmonds sharing a clubhouse with Zambrano, a man who once openly threatened to kill him.

Your right I didn't read the whole post, I got a bit excited, a bit frustrated, about them signing Jim Edmonds.
