Ughhh...this is shaping up to be the year of the injury for the Brewers.  I have a feeling that at the end of the year, we'll be left with a feeling of "what if".

With Riske going to the DL, could we see LaPorta brought up for the weekend??

I hate to say it, but I wouldn't be suprised to see Turnblow back up with the Crew. I hope it is Weaver instead even though I am not sure how he is doing

Apparently it's Mark DiFelice (3-0 3.91 in 23 IP). Looking at Weaver's performance, I'd say he's going to be in Nashville for awhile.

I agree, citron. Bad news - Cappy, Gallardo, and Riske injured. Good news - ownership saying that the "money is there" to pursue some more pitching.  When was the last time we heard that from the upper chain of the Brewers organization?

this is shaping up to be the year of the injury for the BrewersUnfortunately, I think you're right here. My grandfather always said at the end of a losing Milwaukee season, "Well, they're a young team". The man was very wise. Hopefully that young team can make the best of a horrible pitching situation and still turn around a winning record. Without a healthy pitching staff, though, it's going to be very difficult to make a case for the playoffs.
