By Derek Lofland. The NFC East is probably the most competitive NFL division heading into the 2008 season. The New York Giants are the defending Super Bowl Champions. The Dallas Cowboys won 13 games and had the number one seed in the NFC. The Redskins won their last 4 games to make the playoffs as the final wildcard. The Eagles finished strong and were a very dangerous 8-8 team at the end of the season that did not qualify for the postseason.
Find out about every NFC East team's strengths, weaknesses along with 2008 projections...

Dallas Cowboys:
‘07 Record: 13-3
Points Scored: 455 (2nd)
Points Allowed: 325 (13th)
Playoff Result: Lost in Divisional Round
2008 Strength of Schedule: 134-122 (.523) (13th (t) in NFL)

Strengths: The Dallas Cowboys had a very impressive start to their 2007 season. In their first 13 games they went 12-1 with their only loss being to the New England Patriots. In their first 12 games they outscored their opponents 395-248, or by an average of 12.25 points per game. After their 37-27 victory against 10-1 Green Bay they looked poised to be the NFC favorite to take on the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. However, things didn’t go according to plan. They went 2-2 in their last 4 games and were outscored 60-77. Then the Cowboys were upset in the playoffs, by the eventual champion NY Giants, 21-17. It was a very disappointing end to a season that looked destined to end with a Super Bowl appearance...

The Cowboys had a load of talent on their roster in 2007. They sent a record 11 players to the Pro Bowl, 7 of which were starters. The number one strength on the Cowboys was the offensive line. Three of their seven Pro Bowl starters came from that unit, Flozell Adams, Leonard Davis, and Andre Gurode. With Tony Romo given...

Yes, I can agree, but there are somethings that I do disagree with some of the points made by the expert.  First of all, how can you not have cooley as the best tightend in the division.  He is the third best tightend in the league behind Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez.   He makes the most plays out of any tightend in the division.  Second of all, how is Campbell the worst quarterback in the division.  I look at Eli Manning, and just because he won the superbowl, people put him higher than Campbell, but Jason Campbell is still better.  I also think he is better than Tony Romo, although it is hard to argue that now, but first of all when Romo is confronted with competition, he fizzles under while Campbell gets met with competition, he plays harder.  Did anybody not see the Giants game at the end of end of 06.   People think that the Redskins don't match up well with teams in this division, but overall, I think they are the second best team in the division behind the Cowboys

The Eagels at two and the Skins at four.  Please.  We need to do some tweaking here.  Donavan hasn't played a complete season in years.  It is not if he is going to get injured, but when.  Eli put together a very nice run at the end of last season.  Can he play a full season at that level.  I doubt it very much.  Campbell has an arm and plenty of new targets.  I don't think you will rate him or the Skins at four in the Division by the end of the season.  Have to agree the Boys have the edge on talent however saying the Eagels will move from last to second having done next to nothing to improve in the off season is a mighty big leap of faith.

the Eagles are way too high.  I agree that they are really underrating JC, but he should prove them wrong by the end of the season.  Im not worrying about him, he's got too much ability and poise.

Thats exactly what I'm saying.  People always seem to undermind the talent that the Redskins have.   You are right, our defense is good, our special teams are descent, Cartwright led the NFC in kick returns last year.  Our o-line is one of the best in the league, when fully healthy, and so is our running attack.  And since we drafted two wide recievers, are recieving core should be set.  So we do not have as many holes as people think, we just have depth issues.  However, there is no way that team can't matchup with any team in the division, and I look at these teams and I see alot of holes.

Boy Boy Boy no one believes Chris Cooley is the best Tight End in the NFC East both Shockey and Witten are better than him. cj2887 stop being ridicoulos yall have less holes than any other team in division the Skins are good but yall have pleny of holes

1.Can Jason Campbell play  consistent for a whole season and he is the worst starting QB in the division

2.Just because you drafted receivers doensn't mean they will be good and there still no #1 receiver on the team sorry Santana Moss playing big against Dallas doesn't make you a #1.

3.D-Line can't get a pass rush

4.Who's the other safety?

5. Who is your kicker?

6.Your top 3 corners are on there last leg

so stop talking about yall have no holes every team does.
