everyone criticizing the Yankees. I mean come on, we started off worse last year and they weren't criticizing us. Now it's a big del that were in last now when we were in last last year alrady 6 games behind. And they know the past 2 years we always come back in teh second half and dominate. We will make the playoffs too. So, I'm not wrried. Rays enjoy ur time there, it won't be long.
huge yankee fan here. I'm sick and tired of people like you and mike francesa just saying, "they will be ok, last year they were in worse shape." get over yourself, wake up, this is a different team. no pitching, no clutch hitting, average defense, no running game. please, shut your trap, you don't no baseball. as hard as it is for me to say, the yanks are not getting in this year. jet....
"wake up, this is a different team. no pitching, no clutch hitting, average defense, no running game."
Is this really a different team? Was the pitching better last year? Is this a different lineup then last year? The answer to these 2 questions is NO. Do the Yankees not have the pitcher with the most wins in baseball over the last 2 years, soon to be 3? No clutch hitting... isn't Derek Jeter still on the team? I'll give you the no running game, but that will get a little better.
The team is struggling, but how are they a different team? They've had some very key injuries, which has caused instability in the lineup, thus a lack of production. Are you saying that once A-Rod and Posada come back that they won't produce more runs? It's quite obvious that Cano is coming around, and I'll just hope the best for Giambi because we're stuck with him. This is a lineup full of career all-stars. It's not like they're a bunch of one year wonders hoping to have a second good year. As for the pitching, it's no worse then it was last year. Which, don't get me wrong, was not great in the least bit, but it was still good enough to get them intop the post season.
Maybe you should be the one that wakes up, and learns a little more about the team you claim to be a "huge fan" of. Plane...
I'm sure that you were saying the same thing last year, when the situation was a whole lot worse then it is now. Now I know that it's not going to be easy, but we have a team of veteran all-stars that know what it takes to make it. I don't know if they will, but as a fan, I sure hope they do. If they could overcome what seemed impossible, to most, last year, being 4.5 games out in the middle of May isn't to tough. Especially since we're only 4.5 games out despite the fact that A-Rod, Jeter, and Posada have all missed time. We went a month with absolutely no production from the #4 and #5 pitchers. And, the offense, especially Cano and Giambi, haven't produced crap. Things are only going to get better once A-Rod and Posada return, and the team begins to hit like they're capable of.
The Yankees are old and done! It will be 10 years before they win anything again! The Orioles will win more games in the next ten years then the Yankees.
