Whats up Yanks fans..here we go again, another subway series. It should be a good one. Even with both teams struggling right now I am sure that both teams will be amped for this series. Maybe it will jump start both teams and eventually get them on a roll. But I see you guys have a tough division, even tougher this year than usual..when you have the D-Rays in first place that is saying a lot..but they have a lot of good talent, including *cough* Scott Kazmir *cough*..he SHOULD be in a Mets uniform if it wasn't for that genius ex Met GM Steve Phillips..but anyway..the D-rays are looking good..so are the Orioles...the Blue Jays are right there too..and you know the Red Sox are always tough..so good luck to you guys the rest of the way...But back to the series..you guys could possibly win this series against the mets despite all the injuries the yanks have endured so far this year..the Mets right now are playing with no heart..and I hate to say that cuz that's my team..but it's the truth right now...I can ramble on all day, but don't want to get in trouble at work...Just wanted to say good luck and good series..may the best team get out of their shell..hopefully both will.

If Yankee management had a modicum of sense Santana would be in a Yankee uniform and their prospects would be much brighter.. no sympathy.

Hey, how are Kennedy and Hughes doing anyway ? :)

I think that tonight-s game will really be a win or win game for the Yankees, after all the blah-blah-blah of their prospects and young stars, they haven't show a thing (maybe only hughes no-hitter bid last year) and while big boss was pushing for santana and was willing to give hughes and kennedy, cashy didn't allowed him...tonights game will be a battle of who was right and who was wrong , at least in mr streinbreiner's crazy mind, for me it will be a young rising talent against a true ace battling off in the best interleague rivalry and opening a series against each other in our beloved yankee stadium, the house that ruth built.

Good luck to you and your Mets also ChimairaFan. It's good to see another team's fan coming on and being reasonable. There's been a lot of crap posted lately by non-Yankees fans. I hope that it will be a good series. Neither team is playing all that well right now, so someone is due to break out... hopefully the Yankees. I'm looking forward to Sundays match-up of John Maine and Chien Ming Wang... should be a good one.

As for the division battles, looks as though the Mets have their own pesky little team from Florida. When all's said and done, I think they'll both fade as the season wears on, but they should at least make the division races better.

Go Yankees!

yeah you are right R.T.N.Y.  Those 2 teams from Florida are really looking strong and good so far...i think because they are young, talented, and having a lot of fun..and are playing with 'heart'..some of these veteran teams, like the Mets, Yankees, etc etc..should take a good look at the teams like the Rays and the Marlins..teams like them or dangerous

They are dangerous... now. I just can't see them hanging on over the course of the season. We'll have to see how they handle it when they go through their first slump.

By the way, how long do you think they're going to hang with Willie Randolph if the Mets keep playing like they have been?

Let's see if the Yankees will respond to the challenge laid down by their new honcho, SteinbrennerJR. Who's that dwarf in the Austin Powers movies, Miny-Me? That's who Son of Frankensteinbrenner reminds me of.

It's pretty hard to agree with that right now. Both Phil Hughes and Ian Kennedy have been terrible to this point. However, we'll have to wait and see what happens over the next few years. As a Yankee fan, you get used to that win now or else mentallity. We'll have to wait and see how this pays off with both the young talent that we kept, and how we use the money that we didn't spend on Santana.
