If they finish around 4-12 again, they can take Tebow in the top 5.

they can draft a quarterback every year until they find one, doesn't bother me! Just means they would be stuck below the Bills!

Honestly I think it should be Clemens. Pennington has a noodle arm and regardless of his brain/experience, you can't succeed in the NFL if you can barely get the ball there on a 10 yard out.

Tebow unlike the majority of meatheads that opt for the NFL early values an education more than a dollar. He won't come out next year for he'll be playing in Florida through his Sr. year. So the Jets will have to be crappy for a couple of years and that seems to be a "doable" task considering their track record............ ;0)

Big10Sux, where do you get your information? Do you have a personal window into the mind of Mr. Tebow?? Assume he has a decent season this year (doesn't need to be exceptional, just decent), he will have won a National Championship (as a freshman) and the Heisman (as a sophmore) and will have been a two year starting QB. Even if he values an eduation, he might legitmately think that the risks of returning to school (injuries etc) are just too great for too little reward given he has won the two major trophies in college football.

As far as the first post is concerned, the Jets won't be the worst team in the NFL this year, but they may be bottom 5 if things really go badly. However, to get Tebow (assuming he is the top QB on everyone's board) they will really have to be in the top 2. Unlike this year where only one team in the top 5 really needed a QB as the first major priority (I list the priority positions as OT, QB, DE), the team's that will struggle next year are most likely to need to upgrade at the QB position. Teams like the Bears (Grossman's had too many chances), the Dolphins and Chiefs (who knows how these young QBs will turn out?? if both teams get their O-lines sorted they might take Tebow) are going to need to upgrade at QB as their first priority among the major positions.

I think Tebow will revert back to the trend of QBs going #1 overall

Jonathan,

Not happening.  Jets with minimal injuries at worst will be a 7-9 or 8-8 team.  You and the rest of the Jet haters out there are gonna be eating some delicious crow this year.  Before you talk, try to use the peabrain a little.

Joe383- #1-The Gators won a NC but it was Chris Leaks team not Tebows team like it is now,  #2- Tebow has stated several times that he will graduate a "Gator" before entering the NFL. #3 The Gators are probably 1 more year away from totally dominating the NCAA (Last year they had 8 true Freshman starting on defense). #4 Tebow is far to competitive to not go out as the leader of the National Champions. #5 The Gators could possibly win the NC this year (They have the talent) but the lack of experience most likely keeps them out of the title game. Remember this post and I'll put up a 50 spot that Tebow plays his Sr. year. :0)

Tebow will make a decent H-Back or TE at the pro level or maybe even a good LB, after struggling for a few years to adjust to being an NFL QB coming from the Urban Meyer spread offense.

he has good size and a decent arm but will not be prepared for the pro game as a QB, he's still only been just a little more than a glorified RB that can throw to this point...... he'll be a bigger, stronger armed, less acurate Alex Smith.

Heismans don't really mean squat for years now (Crouch?) are merely just a popularity contest, and rarely go to the actual best FOOTBALL PLAYER..... and college gimmick offenses do not translate to the pro game, ask Spurrier or the kid from Michigan who realized he had a legitimate chance of being a paid QB, who promptly transferred as soon as Rodriguez arrived.
