A tough series for me.....Tigers and D'Backs. In the past, I guess I sort of pulled for the Tigers to take the series....but no sweeps. This year however......
I wouldn't be sorry to see the D'Backs take all three!
The Tigers are a flawed, over-hyped ball club. Management stupidly put together a bunch of ill-fitting parts and thought Leyland's magic would create some awesome offensive juggernaut. Too bad they forgot that pitching (and fielding) are even more important.
Anyhow, the Tigers are going nowhere, and a D'Back sweep will keep the Dodgers at bay.......so I'll not be unhappy if the Tigers come out of this weekend with a 7 game losing steak. Maybe it will force some player "re-arrangements".
(D'Backs fans...don't get your hopes for a sweep too high. Every once in a while, the "1000 run offense" shows up and you'll get 9 or 10 runs out of them. So, maybe, a 2 out of 3 might be more realistic.)
