just to clarify since I was away from computer all night. a quick note on my "games over .500" comment from yesterdays thread since it is always the usual suspects... in sports there is a finite amount of games that can be playd. in baseball that is 162. 81-81 is .500. At this point they have played 42 games so a .500 record would be 21-21. At 26-16 they are 5 games over. The season does not continue on infinitely to allow for the arguement that they would have to lose 10 more games to come to .500. Last year they finished 85-77, that is NOT 8 games over, it is 4 over.
It has become widely accepted to say they are 10 games over but mathematically that is incorrect. Sorry for that little tirade, it is just something that always irks me. 10 sounds better anyway so carry on!
