Garcia should get paid

 I'm a huge Buccaneers fan and I belive the Bucs should pay Jeff Garcia, he's wanting a deal like he had when he 1st signed for 2 years/15 million with 2 million guaranteed. That's not bad seeing how if it wasn't for him we would not have made the playoffs last year. We could do the contract up like a 1 year deal with most of it backloaded, but I'm not sure on the way the cap works.

 I would love to see Josh Johnson do something, but he's gonna take at least a year to get things together. Jon Gruden probably wouldn't even let him see the field then so what are we gonna do? If we don't pay Jeff Garcia he'll be unhappy and maybe hold out, then we'll have to do the old Steve Spurrier thing with a committee. I do like Luke McCown, but I'm not sure he's ready to take control or not. Brian Griese is a good back up, but I don't want to rely on him for long stretches. Jeff Garcia is our best chance to make a run. I think Bruce Allen and the Buccaneers are going to work something out for him, but I hope it happens soon so he'll be focused. I would love to see the Buccaneers play and win the Super Bowl in Tampa.

I'd have no problem with upping his deal some, but at the same time we need to realize that we're talking about a guy who most likely isn't going to play all 16 games this year and has at most 2 (even stretching a bit) more productive seasons. 

It would have been nice had he worked on getting a new deal without crying to the press about it, though.

Same type deal here. I'm sure Allen's pop told him this as well. You sign a deal, you honor it. There is no honor in how Garcia is going about this. If he continues this unwaranted fuss into the summer Raymond James will be waiting with a chorus of boo's. Or maybe the boo's will be carried over from the 4th quarter of that Giants game where he earned that pay raise throughing an interception in the endzone.

I wonder if Garcia has seen any of Testeverde's last few pay stubs?
