it seems like this team is in every game this month....after falling behind 8-4 i knew they were in trouble but rallied to tie it up at 8.....the Rays really should have won the game yesterday but multiple baserunning blunders were thier ultimate undoing.....it would be nice to see Edwin Jackson come out again today with another quality start and take 2 out of 3 to start the road trip.......anyone heard anything on B.J. Upton???? he went into the wall hard on the walkoff homer in the tenth and was really favoring it coming off the field....

I was not able to see the game because of Fox's blackout restrictions on games before 3:30 or whenever the national Fox game is on weekends but when I was following on gameday for a little while I noticed that Upton made the final out of the inning at 3rd in the ninth on the Longoria's sac fly to tie it which was stupid, didn't see the play so I don't know exactly what happened.  And Upton said he was fine after appearing he hurt his shoulder, I think he will be playing today but not positive as I can't find much on it.

yeah i heard on the pregame hes doing fine......but he seriously needs to take some time with the coaching staff and go for a basrunning refresher course....he ran us out of 2 innings by himself yesterday....but when you have a young team...stuff like that is bound to happen....

ED "Will i ever get another" WIN Jackson again, minus the 4 walks, pitched in a game the Rays should have been able to win for him.

My question is: Why play the outfield in with one out and a runner on second base?  You play the infield at double play depth and the outfield at normal positions.  Anything falling in front of the outfielders is not going to score a man from second base.  C.C. was nearly able to make the catch playing in.  If he's playing at normal depth, he makes the catch, there are two out.  Professor Maddon, sometimes,out-thinks himself.

Go Rays!!

"Professor Maddon, sometimes,out-thinks himself."

I dunno if I like the move or not, if I remeber correctly it was Skip Schumacker at the plate.. If so Schumacker had a bloop single his first hit an was barely making contact in two later at bats. I myself did not think that he could hit it nearly to the warning track the way he had been swinging and with the speed of our outfield in Carl Crawford and B.J. Upton I didn't see either of them getting burnt. Than again theirs two outs so why bring them in? So I am both ways on this one.

Sometime you take a gamble..
