	that the Tribe may trade Byrd for "Junior".....any validity to this and if so your thoughts...... I am so giddy i could just fart........i am purchasing a Griffey jersey as we speak......in Tribe colors.....

	I heard that the Indians would consider trading Paul Byrd but not to who or for who. If we get Ken Griffey I am not going to be an Indians fan anymore. He's a high priced baby and he's old.

	I would have to agree and say I am not interested in Griff. I would go for someone like Johnny Gomes for Paul Byrd but the Rays seem to have a solid pitching staff. I wouldn't even mind a guy like Jorge Cantu, who plays 3b. That would allow Blake to move back to the outfield and give us Cantu and Marte to man 3b. Cantu also would give options at 1b and OF, I believe he is a versatile guy. But no Griff.

	I don't have much interest in Griffey at this stage in his career. I think Paul Byrd is more valuable at this point. I'm very intrigued by Garrett Atkins whom the Rockies may look to unload by the trade deadline. They have a youngster to replace him and may not want to pay him in a year or two. Plus, Shipiro and the current Rockies GM (I think it's Dan O'Dowd) used to work together here in Cleveland.

	I have loved watching Jr (when healthy) throughout his career, has probably the best swing i have ever seen! I really think he can help us, and I think Byrd is the odd man out when Westbrook comes back. Wow i can't believe i am ok with trading the Byrd man after his great season last year!

	The problem with any Griffey trade is that he has a FULL NO TRADE CLAUSE. He has to agree to any trade. Now maybe he says ok to a trip up I-71 to come to Cleveland......but I don't see it. I also agree that I'd rather see something else done than Griffey. He's a high price tag. I'd MUCH rather just go sign Bonds. I've also heard the rumors about Atkins being moved. The Rox are out of it right now. If they don't get back in they may move one or possibly all of Fuentes, Atkins, and Holliday. Any of which would help the Tribe. Rox want starting pitching....we've got that. I'd love to see an Atkins and Fuentes for say Laffey, Barfield, and another prospect or maybe even Mastny. Fuentes would be a nice lefty addition to the pen and Atkins would lock down 3B for the next 2.5 years. Would MUCH rather see Marte swapped in instead of Barfield...but as mentioned the Rox have a stud 3B at AAA right now (Ian Stewart). There was some talk of him moving to 2B....but don't expect that to mean Marte would be going.

	Damn, I would trade like three guys to get G.Adkins right now. that dude is hitting 320 and has a solid glove. Getting Griffey would be retarded because what would we do with outfields of DELUCCI, SIZEMORE, GUIT, FRANSICO, CHOO, AND THEN GRIFFEY. I dont see that happening.

	Well, I was thinking of a left handed bat in the lineup.....I even heard this subject come up before...the lefty in the lineup....U are right.... he proly does have a hefty tag just to be a occasional lefty DH.....I have also heard of Atkins.....but isn't he kinda old 33? Some one mentioned Matt "the bat" Holiday????? A u serious........he is the team or at least a big part of it! We should do everything possible to get him! He obviously would bat clean up......Wow........heard about Atkins and Fuentes......but not Holiday....... any more rumors????? fellow Tribe fans.....

	Got in my car yesterday and heard the end of a trade rumor that involved Aaron Laffey, but not for who I just missed that part. They did say the Tride offered Sowers, but the team that the deal was to be with rejected it.
