Odell Thurman was released by the Bengals but he would be a great addition to our linebacking core. He better than anyone we have at our MLB spot but hes just off a 2 year suspension. I say sign him to a 1 year deal and if he plays well sign him longer.

Sign him to a one year deal. See if he can stay out of trouble for a year, and if he does any good. If he does, give him a 3-4 year contract afterwards.

i would disagree with this statement. How is he better than anyone we have when he hasnt played in 2 years?

2 years off worries me but signing him to a one year league minimum deal can't hurt . . . he could be effective on ST at the least.  However I doubt the Titans will touch him.  It seems the TN wants nothing to do with trouble players after Pacman.

yes!!!! i think he can be a great LB, i mean if we give him a 1 year deal and he takes it and gets in trouble...we dont lose that much, i thin in this case the reward is way higher than the risk and we need to try it

if we are able to get him this would make our LB core great....i mean experienced vets in thorton and Keith and then young talent in Tulloch/Thurman and the rooks

Titans, BRING him in!!!!

why stop there?  let's go after Chris Henry too...he is better than any WR we've got

absolutely we should NOT offer Thurman a deal

I don't think we should sign him, we just spent so much time and effort to get one troublemaker out of TN, to only bring in another one would be stupid. I think the Titans organization has taken into great consideration the aspect of character when signing someone and will never pick up a player with problems in their history again. So I say no to Thurman, he can find another team to deal with problems.

They stuck with him through all that and he repaid them by not showing up to workouts.  Sure he had reason to go home but he should have came back.  His excuse was he was taking care of some business after his Grandmother's death...I seriously don't think they would have cut him for that.  They know something we haven't heard yet.  I say we don't need other people's problems.

I agree with Flaster,if nothing else he could be a very good special teamer.

i dont have a high enough rating to make my own post so i figured i bring this idea up in this defensive minded post.....

Ty Law is still available, and besides Cort and Nick we really dont have any other reliable CB, i mean Hill cant get it done and Vinny is a beast in the nickle, dont know how could he can do in man coverage, and cary is a rook,

i think Ty Law would be a great pick up...what do yall think?

Ty Law is old and if he came in he would probably warrant a starting CB spot.  I don't really see it happening, but it would be nice to get another veteran in to groom the young players on the squad.  Plus, I heard he was in talks with the Patriots and he'd probably be more inclined to go there.

Lito Sheppard is available too, we should be looking at him.yeah, but we would have to trade for him....who or what would we trade?

i dont think we will trade a pick unless its for a WR...adn Lito (who i really like) will want more money and a new contract and we also have to give up a part of our team or draft pick(s)...i just think Law is a easier target, but i would love to have Lito, i just dont think the Titans will give anything the Eagles want

I thought Lito was a FA, but if not I would say he is worth a 4th round pick or wait for the Eagles to cut him which they probably will.
