I'm going to the Tigers and Mariners game today and the only reason I'm excited is because its Curtis Granderson Bobblehead day. Sure, I still love going to the ballpark and the atmosphere of the game, but I can't believe a promotion is more interesting to me than the game itself. It wasn't supposed to be this way, not this year... Are the Tigers ever going to get any better and play anywhere near thier potential?

Sure they will! The Tigers are on a losing streak now, those things happen in baseball. Cold streaks are fallowed by hot streaks. The pitching has been pretty good, just have to get everything in sync, the potential is still there. Just have fun at the ballpark, forget about the record, enjoy the game. GO TIGERS!

LOL, I always have fun at the ballpark.
I have a season ticket plan and I've only been to one win so far. And it was the time I got a free ticket from a friend. Since I'm sitting in my regular seats tonight, it doesn't look good for the home team. Then again, they haven't exactly had a lot of wins at home so it could be just a coincidence.

Yes we'll get it going soon. Today might be the start of a fantastic turn around, and you can say you were there to witness it . Enjoy the game and have a beer or two.

Question for you all.....what color is the sky in your world?
A slump? They've played 44 games!!!!
You know if I had a nickel for every time someone on this board used the phrase, "turn it around".....I'd be rich enough to buy the Tigers (and pay off Gary Sheffield so he can hit the road)

i remember going to the games 4 and 5 years ago. i would go to 20+ games, and the team was garbage. but, i didnt care, cuz it is always fun at the ball park, and if the team won 3 or 4 in a row, the city would be buzzing with excitement for the team. The team is so much better now, but with the expectations put on the team, it is just such a let down, that it does make it hard to get excited to go to the games.
iffy, i totally agree with you. when the Tigers started off 0-8 everyone thought that there was no way they could possibly make the playoffs. but now they are 10+ games under .500 with no signs of things getting better, and they are saying "oh its just a slump"

i've been following this team for a long time and I cant understand how the whole team slumps at the same time. i think at the beginning of the year the cold weather always plays a big part of early season slumps but we should be past that and I think the pitching (while not great0 has been OK enough to win. It's just the hitting is atrocious...and to think that they have to win 10 in a row just to get to even, blows my mind....oh well we have 2 teams that we should beat this week so hopefully it gets turned around NOW!!

Well, At least the offense showed up big tonight and Verlander pitched well and more importantly, I got my bobblehead. All in all a good night at the Ballpark.

Lots of hitting, lots of home runs and an easy Tiger win. Jason Verlander was on his game and the hitting came through big. Everything was clicking for the Tigers and it must have been just a great night to be at the ballpark.
