The attorneys are trying to tie his crime to a chronic gambling disease???  So he should get probation???  What a bunch of crap.  So if I committ armed robbery to pay off my gambling debts, I should get probation because of this gambling disease?  Gambling isn't the issue here.  The issue is his fraudelent manipulation of the system at everyone's expense including players and fans.

gambling is a big part of his issue, albeit it isn't something that the rest

world is going to be too favorable to him about. however, to ignore that gambling

is at the root of this is to ignore the reality of addiction and that gambling is certainly one of those items. I am all for this guy getting help particularly considering he is not much of a threat to anyone else on the street...and the fact he could help in getting others who are also involved in this. It is unlikelhy, as much as Sternbag likes to deny it,. that he is alone or that there are not others...who must be found out and dealt with.

I agree with the comment that there seems to be some bad officiating in the playoffs

but it is rather unlikely since they have long time pro's, excepting Joe Crawford who, for some wild reason, was allowed to officiate a Tim Duncan Spurs game...when he has

a known hate on for both the Spurs and Duncan. This can't be left unturned or the issue

will crop up again.

Does he really have a gambling problem?  I'm not sure he does or did.  He found a way to commit fraud and it involved gambling on games where he could affect the outcome....   If he was gambling on football and everything else, then he has a problem.  if he was only gambling on games he officiated, that is not a gambling problem but dispicable fraud.
