To move away from the threads devoted to hating on other teams, questioning loyalty, and just everything else that's the norm around here, I'm starting this one to try and spark some interesting talk! What baseball "stuff" does everyone collect? Cards are a common one of course, signed stuff, posters, jerseys, McFarlane figures, etc....

My Grandma who lives in Florida happens to be a big Miguel Cabrera fan, and she's got a bunch of interest knicknacks of his stuff around the house, Marlins and Tigers alike. I collect throwback and current Jerseys and hats (currently I have hats from 22 teams). I currently have:

  • Satchel Paige - Kansas City Monarchs
  • Josh Gibson - Homestead Grays
  • Tom Seaver - New York Mets
  • Ted Williams - Boston Red Sox
  • Harmon Killebrew - Minnesota Twins
  • Dizzy Dean - St. Louis Cardinals (just got a blank throwback off-white Cards jersey and got it custom made with #17 on the back!)
  • Joe Dimaggio - New York Yankees (yes, I have a Dimaggio jersey)
  • Manny Ramirez - Boston Red Sox
  • Manny Ramirez - Cleveland Indians
  • Sandy Koufax - Los Angeles Dodgers
  • Pete Rose - Cincinnati Reds
  • David Wright - New York Mets
  • Mike Piazza - New York Mets
  • Miguel Cabrera - Florida Marlins (gift from Grandma!)

My next jersey is probably going to be a Tim Lincecum one, or I might get a throwback Philadelphia Athletics jersey and get a custmized #3 on it for Jimmie Foxx. I also have some football and hockey jerseys and some other baseball ones that I won't wear anytime soon (cough Damon Sox Jersey cough). So, what, if anything, does everyone else collect?

I'm giving this an "Under an hour until someone attacks me for having a Dimaggio jersey" BUMP.

I'm not really into collecting much,  but I do have a collection of ticket stubs dating back a few years,  and including a number of parks (including a couple of Korean stadiums).  I also have lots of different hats,  mostly Giants,  but a few others,  certainly no Dodgers hats!  I also have some bobbleheads...Ichiro (2 of them),  Tsuyoshi Shinjo,  Jeff Kent,  Robb Nen, Rich Aurilia,  Gaylord Perry,  Barry Zito,  and of course,  Barry Bonds.  The Bonds bobblehead is unusually large...

I don't appreciate you always calling me out and attacking me, just becuz I don't think Ted Williams is better than Barry Bonds.

It wasn't calling you out, and I have absolutely no problem with your opinion. I've been called a "Yankee sympathizer" before, by plenty of people, just because I wasn't a homer.

I wouldn't call you out, and I definitely wouldn't do it over something like a differing opinion.

By any chance, did you overpay for the Zito bobblehead, and was the Perry bobblehead come with vaseline?!

I collect just about everything regarding baseball.

Cards- I have some of the 1910 cigarette cards but mostly Topps cards from the 1950's on. Complete sets from 1988 on plus a few early years.

Hats-Hundreds of them. A few were autographed.

Autographed balls, Cubs jerseys including a few game worn ones, scorecards from the mid 1960's from both Wrigley and Comiskey Park, Beanie babies and Bobble heads (Cubs gave a way alot of kids stuff over the last 10 years). My collection has a life of its own. I have a friend who's collection is even more impressive..

The Bonds bobblehead was a gift from NoBondsGiant and Friarfann,  the others were all giveaways at the games I attended.  The Perry bobblehead does not drip,  surprisingly enough!  Good choice on the Tim Lincecum jersey,  I suspect he may be a star in years to come.
