Who should the Kings go after in the Free Agent market?  Marian Hossa is an Unrestricted Free Agent this summer.  The general thinking is that the Penguins won't be able to sign him.  Any thoughts or any other FA's LA should look at?

I think the Kings should upgrade the goal kepper.  The team has the offense to put the puck in the net.  All the team has to find the right player who can keep the puck going into the net.  The goalie will have to make some game time saves so the kings will have the chance to win the game.

Go Kings

Hossa would be a great pick up.  As for goaltending....... Ersberg and Bernier will do just fine.  The Kings need to be more agressive around the net and with the Draft.........our D will be taken care of.

GO KINGS!!!

I agree with trying to get Hossa.  He would fit nicely.

Hossa is clearly the best fit. They shouldn't let him slip away to someone else.

I agree with LadyIrish09, Ersberg and Bernier will be fine.  The D didn't do a real good job of helping the goaltending out.  Ofcourse I blame a lot of that on Crawford because the guy has never shown that he can coach defense.  Jack Johnson is a guy with a lot of talent, Crawford is killing his game and it scares me that he'll do the same thing with who ever we take #2, but that's for another thread.

Off topic, GO IRISH!

The Kings need D. Their D prospects are thin on the ground and Hickey and whoever they draft this year will probably need another year or two. Orpik is unrestricted this year and might like to come back to California. Look for the Kings to try and trade for a D man as well....

The Kings are in somewhat desperate need of a top level goaltender. Waiting for the young ones to mature is old and coming back to Jason L. or Dan C. is getting very old as those two are simply not anything but good 3rd or low level backups. Huet is available, that would make some sense, we shouldn't have gotten rid of him in the first place. As for the others, there are so many options its truly stupid but they all require the Kings getting into there checkbooks. Hossa and Malone are not good options. Hossa is expensive and Malone wants to stay in Pitts. There are other options, Vrbata, Demitra and Nasland are good options to add to what is the youngest roster in the NHL. The problem truly become the retard on the bench and if he can go ahead and start developing the younger talent. He had a pre-made team with the Avs, any drunk could have done what he did there and with no track record of building anything, I fear L.a. could bring in an all-star team and the results would stay the same.
