Don't get your hopes up just because your team is playing good right now.  I predict that your team will be like the Mets of '07 and collapse with a few games left in September.  Don't think that your team is as good as they are playing right now.

You will come back to earth!

Guess thata could happen to any team but I don't see it happening this season.  The Phils are the best team in the division and if they stay healthy all season I don't think anyone will catch them.

  Go Phils !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GUYS,

Would anyone here like to help THE KING change his Chipper avatar, because he claims to need HELP.  He comes here even though there are no postings on The Braves' board from Phillies' fans, other than a few on game 1 or 2 threads.  Nothing anywhere near as strong as he brings.  Let me refresh you w/ his last visit in response to my statement of April 9, 2008 12:18 am:

I say The Phillies Pitching is not as bad as everyone thinks, and Mets and Braves Pitching is not as great as everyone thinks.  Even experts.

The Braves pitching has suffered so many injuries this year there is no way you can make such a ridiculous statement.  The Braves gotta be the most banged up team in the majors right now.  If Moylan, Soriano, Smoltz, Gonzalez, and Mike Hampton weren't injured we would by far have the best pitching in the majors. Whoever thinks their pitching can match up with a healthy Braves rotation is an idiot. JP, Do injuries only matter if they happen to The Braves?  Because The Phillies had to overcome many pitching injuries last year.  Or will that be the reason why, if The Braves don't make the playoffs?

This Phillies team is nothing like the Mets team of last year. Just because it happened once, doesn't mean it happens all the time now. The Mets collapsed cuz they could not work as a team, and when one bad thing happened, they let it sit in their heads and couldn't let it go, and it just made them do more bad things. Did you watch them last year and think they were hungry, that they were playing like they wanted to win? I saw them giving up many times, and way too early. They couldn't even get along with each other. The Phillies don't give up, and they play as a team and work together. And even in their bad years, they always started out with a sucky April and had to work hard just to overcome that, and then turn it on just to finish with a respectable record. And they always had great Septembers, that's when they play their best, not their worst. And this year, they are already way better than last year's team (and avoided the horrible April).. whereas the Mets are much worse than last year. I certainly have more respect for the Braves than for the Mets.. the Braves have a much better chance at turning things around and finishing well. The Mets are just lucky that the Nats aren't playing better, or they'd be battling to hold onto the 4th spot.
