3. I think if any GM wants New Orleans cornerback Jason David, he should give Saints GM Mickey Loomis a call.
Okay, this doesn't say much, but it implies a whole lot. Does Mr. King know something that we clearly do not? I didn't see this coming, but depending on how Gay, and some of the other guys perform in the secondary, could we indeed be seeing a trade made for David sometime this season?
i think last year J David didn't get yanked because their was no one on the squad that was any better. i think this tidbit implies that we have a real push coming on from the rest of the CBs.
and now that front loaded contract that he signed is looking pretty sweet, huh? he will impose less of a salary cap hit to any team that needs a cover 2 corner.
Yea I read that this morning. My opinion: I don't think he is in danger of not making the team but with his "injury" we have Porter getting the majority of the snaps on his side with the first string and he may be impressing the staff. Gay is getting the majority on McKenzie's side.
Sorry. I am at work and I didn't get to finish that statement.
That may be why he said that if anyone wanted him then all they have to do is call Loomis. I think our other guys may be really impressing the staff and King is normally pretty connected so he may know that Loomis would shop him.
I kinda agree with 504 on this one. My reasoning is because until someone (young, porter, or gay) proves to be a clear cut starter than we should keep david for depth.
Remember we suck other than MM at the DB position.
