Letter from one "Angry Woman"
I don't know who wrote this but they should have signed it.  This is one pissed off women.

"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic People who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001? were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, brutally murderd that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our Nations Capital and in a field in Pennsylvania?

Did nearly 3000 men, women, and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And am I supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American Soilder kicked it or got it wet?...Well i don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama Bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent  people on 9/11.

i'll cand about the koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the bible, the mere possession of which is against the law in Saudi Arabia.

I'll care when these thugs they are sorry for chopping off Nick Bergs head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religon by hiding in Mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselfs up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from International law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when i hear a story about a brave Marine roughing up an iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: i don't care.

When i see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care.

When I see a wonded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollar, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled" : you can absolutley believe in your heart of hearts: I DON'T CARE.

Oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it spelled Koran and othertimes it spelled Quran. Well Jimmy Crack Corn and you guessed it I don't Care.

if you agree with this veiwpoint, pass it on. sooner or later it will get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!
If you don't agree with this by all means hit the delete button. If you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities commited by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country! and may I add:

some people spend their entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world but, Marines don't have that problem.--Ronald Regan

I have another quote to add: if we forget that we're One Nation under God , then we will be a nation gone under. also by Ronald Regan.

one last thought for the day:
In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the Anti-American sentiment and negitivity, we should remember Englands  Prime Minister Tony Blair said in a recent interveiw. when asked by one of his parliament members why he belives so much in America, he said " A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in .... and how many want out"

Only 2 defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

1. Jesus Christ
2. the American Soldier

One for your soul and the other for your freedom.

I generally agree with you.  Our soldiers and Marines our in a terrible situation, where anyone can be a bomber.  I'm sure they have killed innocent people, to protect them selves, but this is an odd war, where you really don't know who the enemy is.  No uniforms, it could be men, women and children, and they have to do what's necessary to protect themselves.  I think the Iraqui Government needs to appreciate what we have done, and now they are putting restrictions on the US military, where we can't have any major attacks with out their approval.  I say fine, your troops handle it.  We will sit back in a safe place, and let your sorry ass military do it.  I think we should tell the government either we do our job, or it's up to them.  It's just another arguement to get the hell out of there.  Our mission has been completed, no Saddam, a democratic gonernment and a poulation that wants us out.  Keep 40,000 troops on the Kuwatt border for year, just in case, and bring the boys home.  We need to rebuild our military, we are spread too thin, our equiptment is worn out, and we couldn't be effective in another major war, like Iran.  Not only that, but Afganistan needs our help.  We are not negotiating with Iran with strenth as a deterent , as they know we are still in a quagmire in Irag, and couldn't attack them if we wanted too.  I don't think there are anymore military options in Iraq.  It's up to them to come together.  We can't force them to do that.

Am not a big Bush supporter, but I respect and am proud of how well our American soldiers represent us.

There is no greater honor than being an American soldier. It really takes a special type of person to be to put their life on the line like th way they do.

Completely agree with your post vikes. The American soldier and Americans in general are held to a much higher standard than anyone else in the world. Even with this unlevel playing field Americans prevail time and again. I love this story:

When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire-building by George Bush.

He answered by saying that ..."Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return."

It became very quiet in the room.

— As reported by By Bill Wundram in the QC Times newspaper March 24, 2003

America. Love it, or please leave it for a place that you would be more comfortable.

i'm a big fan of the American army, and being English i'm happy your on our side, but to say that when in England answering questions from the Archbishiop is a very very small part of the argument, like most of you i'm not happy with our government but respect that Iraqi needs liberating from dictatorship which no country should have to suffer but when do we become the dictators instead of the liberators. we've got Sadam, we;ve got a new governor who we're happy with, now its time to slowly remove force's and let this country grow. Unless its more about Oil and less about Liberation, Just my opinion please don't shoot me!

when do we become the dictators instead of the liberators

When did the US become liberators in Korea and Germany rather than dictators? It took years in both countries to complete the liberation process and the US maintains armed forces in both countries today. That doesn't make the US dictators. Iraq is more of a challenge than either of these countries and we have only been there for 6 years.

If the war was truly just about oil, someone F*D up because I just paid over $4 a gallon for gas. Last I checked the US hadn't colonized Iraq and taken control of the oil fields for US consumption.....although that arguably would be within our rights. It's just not the American way.
