The other day, I was sitting on my bed with my brothers and sisters. It was raining, and the little ones (and even though they may not admit it, some of the bigger ones) were a little frightened of the thunder storm.
We all broke out in a song and dance routine, to try to lighten the mood a little bit. This is a list we came up with:
- raindrops on roses
- whiskers on kittens
- brown copper kettles
- warm woolen mittens
- cream-colored ponies
- crisp apple strudels
- doorbells and sleigh bells
- schnitzel with noodles
- wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
- girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
- snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
- silver-white winters that melt into springs
these were just a few of our favorite things.
