I agree with you all to ignore their posts, but here is another alternative as well. I have just started a Chiefs "group" here on CBS. Membership will be moderated by me, but posts will not. Join if you like, I am not going to deny membership to any true Chiefs fans that I have seen posting "real posts" here on the Chiefs message board. I will accept all Chiefs fan, regardless of if we agree on discussions or not. I will not be accepting Goo, Corky or others with ridiculous posts on the main board though. Give it a try or don't it is up to you.

Click on this link and underneath the Arrowhead avatar click join group. After you do that, I will allow your membership as long as I see your Chiefs posts and they do not talk about any of your Viper's or where you will be posting  from on your vacations.

See you all there.

I posted this in another thread as well, sorry for the redundancy.

Nice try NZ, but these guys don't really want to discuss the Chiefs and the real possibilities that exist.  They are looking for everyone to sing "All ya need is love", join hands feel the karma!  If you would like an objective opinion of the Chiefs chances this year, read Dr. Fantasy X's post.  It is interesting.

So apparently the opinion is only "realistic" or "objective" if it agrees with you?

Must be nice to live in such a small world I guess.

After reading the message's from Aiken_Drum i get the impression that this is a guy that really likes the Status Quo, he's not willing to entertain that things can change and surprises can happen. Who would of thought the Browns would win 10 games last year, certainly not me but it happened or the Bills would get to .500 or the Patriots would be 16-0, you get the point.

This is a Chiefs message board and if we can't be positive about there chances here then were can we be.

So do one Aiken_Drum

Go Chiefs 08 and Beyond

I agree with you 1981.  My intent with starting a True Chiefs Fan "group" was to objectively talk about our beloved Chiefs without spam/trolls/negativity that we are soooooooo frequently getting here on the Chiefs board from Goo, Corky and somewhat from Aiken.

I don't have a problem with people's negativity towards the Chiefs(I have quite a bit toward Carl Peterson) but would like some objectivity behind it.

Here is to my fellow diehard Chiefs fans out there!!  Hoping for young player development this year and so long as that happens, there is not telling how good the team can be.

Hey NZImmigrant. Good idea. But its been four days since I signed up for the group. Just wondering if you're gonna approve me or not? No hurry and if not no big deal. I see this as a rebuilding year for the Kansas City Chiefs. Like many do. The defense should be better. A deciding year for QB Brodie Croyle. Larry Johnson needs to come back strong. The two back up runners Kolby Smith and, is it Jamaal Charles the rookie? They should be good. Tony Gonzalez may be the best TE in NFL history. Will the Chiefs be good? Likely not. Will they be decent? I hope so. Just beat the Oakland Raiders and the Denver Broncos!

There is no difference between blindly optimistic and blindly pessimistic. You like to pretend that you have an objective or "realistic" view of what might happen, but you don't have any better idea than the "All ya need is love" people. The only difference between them and you is that they are finding the positive in a crappy situation and you sound like you're 100 years old and the most jaded person on the planet. I can't imagine having any joy in life if you apply that attitude to everything else. The belief that one's opintion is "realistic" usually means they are pessimistic. There isn't anything more "real" about that opinion.

None of us are exactly happy that KC went 4-12 last season, but at least the overly positive people are somewhat enjoyable to converse with. We are talking about a game, not life, death, and the perils of everyday life. In this situation there's nothing wrong with being naive or too positive. There is however an inherit uglyness to being overly negative. Some of us are fans of the sport, no matter the team state, some obviously are only happy when the team wins. I'm glad I'm not one of the latter.
