Has anyone else noticed that "Mort" has made a living over the past 5 years "breaking" stories on Brett Favre? They are always from "undisclosed" sources and they are correct at a rate of about 50/50.
I am a Favre fan, and a Packer fan, but I've even grown tired of the stories.
Adam Shefter seems to have the pulse of the league as well but your right about Mort. I hope Farve comes back because John Madden will be boring this year if he's not kissing Brett's backside every week.

Adam is the only person whose information I trust with the exception of Mike Reiss. He gets the information, presents it as it is and doesn't embellish.
Mort totally blew it when he said on ESPN that Michael Vick wasn't going to be indicted on any charges relating to dog fighting and I haven't listened to him since.
I like John Clayton too. Although he's more of an "Analyst" than a reporter, he seems to take some pride in his work and qualifies a statement as opinion if it is not a fact.
Mortensen is pretty much an idiot. Then again, most of the top tier ESPN/NFL guys are. "oh! I want to pay for Insider so I can read KC Joyner start mocking next years draft by pulling names out of hat!"
"A rate of 50/50 means he is guessing. which is roughly the likelihood of Favre throwing a TD or an INT in a playoff game."
Classic. Its getting a little tiresome hearing everybody talk about how much they love Brett Favre. Somebody should punch him in the gut for doing those "Wranglers" commercials.
Would a Favre rumor make as big a splash if the Chad Johnson saga was still on? It's pretty hard to keep your viewers or listeners interest if you have nothing to report.
