What player (if any) should the Chicago Cubs acquire, in response to the Brewers dealing for C. C. Sabathia?

  • Below are some names that have been mentioned as possible candidates for a trade.

My pick would be Harden if they could get it done. If we get Wolf, I may $hit myself from the stupidity of the front office.

I believe the best arm listed is Oaklands Harden. It would take a lot to get him. Burnett and Cook are cheaper alternatives but I doubt the Rockies will move Cook. Wolf would be a notch down from either Gallagher or Marshall.

From what I have read I doubt that either Sheets or Sabathia will be with the Brewers next season. So for the Brewers its all or nothing this year.

I'll get ready to hand you the t.p.  Nearly every time in Cubs history when they have had the chance to go out at get THE guy, it hasn't happened.  I'm not convinced they have the type of talent to deal that would bring in a top talent.  Rich Hill, Matt Murton, Eric Patterson....not names that excite MLB GM's.

do you Brewers fans know what a choker you all are getting. Maybe this guy can help get you all into the post season, but God forbid you all have to rely on him to go anywhere once you are in the playoffs.

This Cleveland team is the biggest choke team Ive ever seen, and I think I honestly mean that. Good riddance, CC. Go let somebody elses team down. We got Jeff Weaver. We got prospects (who can hopefully hit for an average above the Mendoza line).

The last four seasons for the Indians has been choke, tank, choke, tank.

There's a lot of talent on this here club, but the front office is looking to clean house again and get rid of everybody, like they did Manny, Jim Thome, and Milton Bradley. Who's running the team, Rachael Phelps?

Oh well, CC Pedro.

lol its shocking the Cubs fans would make a response to this.

Good luck in the second half of your season.  Away from home and .500+ isn't as sweet as the first half, is it?
