I hadn't seen Memphis or Tennessee play until tonight, and honestly I was not impressed with either team.  After watching sloppy play from both sides and poor decision making down the stretch, I don't believe either team is the best team in the land. You go play in the biggest game of the year doofess.  I'd strip the ball from you and shoot a three pointer in your eye.

Way to make an assessment of two teams you have only seen play once. Both teams play great defense and run up and down the court. This makes for a game that looks sloppily played.

I'm sure the pollsters will be waiting for your vote Monday morning.

To those who think Memphis is overrated is a moron.
ANY team that goes undefeated and then loses, everybody will say they're overrated no matter how great the schedule strength was.  To go undefeated in ANY conference is a feat in itself.  I just think it's ridiculous.

ANY teams is vulnerable, especially in basketball.  Look at Michigan State against Iowa a few weeks back.  That game was pitiful.  Shit happens. 

And you might have forgotten that Memphis did beat Georgetown, a fairly good contender for the title.  And the game against Tennessee was as close as could be.  I don't really think Memphis will drop that much, being that it was such a hard fought game.

congrats tennessee to a hard fought win.  there were a couple missed calls last night, but the big reason why the tigers lost were free throws.  just because memphis lost a game, they are being labeled as overrated??  if i recall, they've beaten some pretty good teams.  i think it's a good thing that they lost because every good team faces adversity sometime during the season.  missed free throws and way too many 3 point attempts were taken.  i think those were the downfalls.

I agree, GoPats12.
Undefeated is awesome, but a regular season loss is sometimes better for them.  It gives them something to learn from and rise from.  Learning from mistakes can sometimes be better. 

I don't mean to change the subject, but look at the New York Giants against the New England Patriots.  They lost to the Pats, but it helped them the rest of the playoffs and ended up winning the title.  It gave them confidence that they could play with the powerhouses.  I think Memphis can be another example of a team like that (not a garuanteed nat'l title), but they can go pretty far.

First of all, you don't know me or wouldn't be talking, and secondly Memphis isn't a top team because no team shooting below 60% will go far in the tournament and Tennessee my mistake, i did see them play one other time this year...against Ohio State and they were even less impressive in that outing. Sorry but neither one of these teams will play for the national championship.
