Good article. Lets us get a glimpse on what to expect from other C-USA teams as well.

PLEASE, Weatherford, beat out Greco! You can do that by completing a pass in the spring game. ;-)

I'm not as sure as Rivals is that Phillip is the man to beat. I think that position's wide-open. As talented as Phillip is, that says a lot about our RB's.

Seeing Greco battle Weatherford may have one additional upside...it may allow us to redshirt Rob Calabrese, allowing him time to learn, and we also can keep him in the program an extra year.  That is assuming of course, that Greco and Weatherford show us that they are both worthy of battling to be #1.  The worst thing that can happen is to see one of these two given the job by default.  Competition breeds success.

Last I heard, they were going to wait until after spring drills.  Calabrese would really have to set the world on fire to keep from being redshirted. 

Personally, I believe redshirting will be able to allow him the time to develop and learn, and be ready next year when Greco is gone.  It looks like with Greco, Tice and Weatherford in the mix, that this would be a sound decision to have him in the program as a top performer for an additional year since it is unlikely he would se significant PT this year. 

And for Knight fans, its nice to finally be in a position where we have enough depth at any position to even think about redshirting good athletes.  Another sign that we are starting to take the next step up as a program...
