Does Oakland now have the best CB tandem in the league? Asomugha and Hall? Wow!!! Teams will not be able to pass much against this team... Although Oakland gave away most of this years draft picks they have made some impressive moves! J.Walker and D.Carter at WR should be a pretty speedy core to say the least!

Well they are going to need the help on D because Drew Carter is not gonna help them at WR, trust a Panthers fan on that! Maybe their D will be able to score enough to make up for the lack of any Offense.

I hope D. Hall doesn't do anything for them. I still can't believe Atlanta let him go like that. Dumbest thing I've seen thus far!!!

Assante Samuel is not a cover corner. I'll admit he does well at jumping routes in zone type schemes; however, he is also easy to exploit with a pump fake. Sheppard on the other hand is a very good cover corner, but probably will not be with the Eagles much longer. Nhamdi is the most feared cover corner in football (thrown at only 31 times last year; in fact Favre and P. Manning only threw at him 2 times each). D. Hall also has very good tools and incredible speed, but is more of a risk taker like Samuel. With that said; Nhamdi is a far better CB than Sheppard (8 picks in 2006 when he was thrown at) and Samuel is a better route reader than D. Hall (though D. Hall is a more gifted athlete: faster, bigger, smoother CB, and only 24.) If you really look at this trade, the Raiders received the best CB at only 24 in this year's draft for a #2 pick. If Hall stayed in college and came out this year he would most likely be a top 10, if not a top 5 pick. Anyway, enough rambling, the Raiders now do have the best CB duo in football. If they can get back to rushing the QB, their defense will be quite formidable.

Well you know what they say you can't take it with you so I guess Al is going to spend what he can and all I can say is at least he is doing something this year . If he leaves Kif alone and they figure a way to stop the run , they might win more than a few games ,but I have been waiting for that for some time lately .

Did you mean to put Ravens? cause you cant be serious with Cory Ivy and Derek Martin being their two starting corners....a team that if they dont get a crack at Matt Ryan or reach for Brohm are most definitely going to be taking a corner. Safties are a completely different matter but corners....their definitely in the bottom half of the league.

without a doubt the Broncos have the best duo in the NFL. Champ Bailey and Dre Bly? are u joking? chmp is the BEST CB in the league, and Dre Bly is just downright nasty. not to mention they got John Lynch at safety, which makes them one of the best secondaries in the whole league. my number 2 duo is Nathan Vasher and Charles Tillman. when healthy, they combine for more turnovers than any other duo in the league, and they both make a ton of tackles during the season.

Raider's corners look good on paper - I would wait and see how they play together before making a determination. Also, although they're getting older, Bly and Bailey in Denver still have to be considered among the best. Jammer and Cromartie are very good in San Diego, and Woodson and Harris looked very good last year in Green Bay. I think Oakland's defense will be a good as it was in '06, but the offense still has a long way to go. Walker is Randy Moss with alot less talent. If Russell struggles, Walker could quit on the team. Carter is nothing special.

Who really cares if Raiders have the "best CB duo" or not? The Raiders are a losing organization that has an owner who still thinks it's 1975. The sooner he sells the team, the better off the Silver and Black will be. He loves to meddle too much and collect "toys" like Randy Moss, Warren Sapp, and now DeAngelo Hall. Once DeAngelo sees that this team is a bunch of sorry losers he's gonna quit on them just like Randy Moss did. The Raiders just overpaid for a bunch of new acquisitions (that aren't that good ala Gibril Wilson) and will have another losing season. As for the "best CB duo." You only have to look at the World Champion Giants who shut down Joey Galloway, T.O. and Randy Moss in the postseason. BTW Eagles fans, I love that Assante Samuel is now in the NFC East. Now he can drop more INT's against us like he did in the Super Bowl. Ha what a loser! G-Men for life!

Congrats on the superbowl victory...now get over it and stop making ridiculous statements like, "As for the "best CB duo." You only have to look at the World Champion Giants who shut down Joey Galloway, T.O. and Randy Moss in the postseason." Seriously if you had a clue you would say the Giants have the best defensive line and blitz schemes against those teams because the corners are average at best but its pretty hard to throw off your back.
The Eagles, Chargers and Broncos have the best CB duos. Sry Raider fans Hall is overrated.

I wouldn't sat that they have the best conerback tandem, but it's easily one of the top three IMO. As much as I hate to say it Denver's Bly/Bailey duo rates them right up there and so does San Diego's Jammer/Cromartie connection. Yet I would say That Nnamdi Asomugha is a better cover coner than all four of them, and I would agree that since DeAngelo Hall is only 24 it makes tandem probably the best duo at their age. Cause I do believe that Asomugha is under 27. These guys are going to be very, very good. Plus if Al Davis re-signs Asomugha to a long term. They'll be playing together for a long time to come. Now a major question is which one will be wearing #21 this season? I hope Nnamdi keeps it since he was here first. but it would be a better team gesture to let Hall have it.
