I am a Cowboys fan, been a fan since 76'. I have seen a number of our worst representatives of the human race come and go through out the entire league. Just about all of the negative posters here have a former or current member of their team that has a checkered past. This is America, where you are given many chances to get your life right.
Do I want PacMan here, ........As a member of the DFW community; hell no. He has shown no remorse for his actions and as of yet shown no plans to change. As a Cowboy fan, if we can get him for little to nothing and have his contract laced with all kinds of moral clauses; hell yes.
Bottom line is I, like most sports fans; want to have a winner. PacMan if he can keep his life in order can help with that goal. If he can't keep it together, No muss no fuss; cut his sorry low life ass.

Pacman Jones is a great talent and any team would be improved with him on the field. However, he is a huge pile of dung. If he does get back into the NFL every team should send a message and not sign him. This guy has no idea what it is to be a decent human. I am shocked he is not in jail. Many people would kill for a chance to suit up in an NFL uniform on Sunday and he shouldn't get the chance again.

This guy is great on the field, if dallas can get him cheap it would be good for the team, they just need to put a few stings on the cash they pay him, pre-paid bond money for jail, pre-paid atterney fees, baby sitters to watch him 24-7, no driver license in the state of Texas, no Dogs, no rap, no clubs, no gun's, no ho's, no drugs, no booze, or he will have to give back any cash he gets paid to play for dallas.

Jerry Jones seems to get the most out of troublemakers. Dallas used to have the better teams on talent and the players also had America's team to keep them at least in line while they were Cowboy players. That was Tom Landry and his image, then Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer and others coached the team. Off field problems seemed to rule the day. Parcells ran it pretty tight but if you can see the pattern that got Parcells out of Dallas. TO was a Jones project, Tank is and now Pacman Jones.

"If he doesn't.. it did not cost much if anything to find out. If any of you actually knew anything about the Cowboys players you would know Ware, Ellis and the others who would be surrounding Pacman would not for a minute put up with any garbage.. Tank has become a very well liked and important cog in the defensive wheel.. I'm betting all of you were the same ones saying that was a mistake as well and would implode. How is that working out for you?"
What I don't know my rivals players? When Ware was drafted just after Merriman? Or Ellis who missed what 3 games or so and still had double digit sacks? No I know nothing bout them... at all. You got me... are you new to the boards or something? Don't even think you know who you are dealing with. First off Tank Johnson played half the time you other DT's were better then him.. he was great to give them a rest... Ratliff was better then him, and nothing against the DT's reason they were great against the Run was they were putting safety or safeties in the box not that they were stopping with just 4 or 5 players needed 6 or 7. Why DB's looked so bad. When Ware was being blocked or he was out in pass coverage (he does everything mind you best player on the team TEAM) tell you that tires out a guy so he can't be a "Merriman" and just pass rush all the time and get pressure all the time. Heck Pacman can cost only 500 K point is look at the Bengals its about locker room presence.
Discipline (what your coach does not really push for) how did that work for in the Giants playoff game? Look I'll be one of the few that might admit if they were disciplined they would have won. That Jessica Simpson was so blown out of proportion and even by Cowboy fans. Simple fact is that Cowboys too many penalties and had a few key drops. That is a discipline issue. I don't see how that doesn't make sense. Sorry I had to repeat myself god knows how many times for you... and Philips riding on Parcells coat tail... you didn't know that most of the better players were when Parcells was round and had a doing getting them in. Yeah guess you get the drift. As you said "How is that working out for you?"

I def see your point Wylie... and at least you see he isn't changing. I think they can just get better and not mess up this year if they just drafted a DB and possibly got a returner in the draft late too... I mean this year can be screwed up by one player. Seriously, he isn't a proven DB so he will be returning kicks... by no means is he a Hester return type either... he won't kill them for years to come (unless they kept him after this year) but this year alone can be screwed up... media is not fun to have around if its all about negativity look at the Giants in the past with them asking about the "criticism" and that was it? I mean you have a TNA wrestler in the locker room... someone who might be at the strip clubs... who will be under the microscope and people will be questioned left and right... not fun.

I agree. Yes, he has baggage, but what 'young millionaire' doesn't. His contract will be filled with so many clauses that if he dreams of a strip club, he will be out of Dallas. I say give him a chance because if he doesn't get his act together, Dallas will only be out of a 5th round or more pick. I think sitting out a season and being threatened to lose the NFL for life will make him change.

I'm fine with the Pac-Man Jones going to the Cowboys. He has a ton potential and ability. Of course, potential and ability don't do you much good when you waste the opportunities you are given in life...or when you are a piece of crap. I hope he becomes a cancer that eats the Dallas organization from the inside out.

At least JJ is much more financially responsible. The Raiders threw guaranteed sacks of cash at Javon Walker and DeAngelo Hall. 1.25M for Pacman is a walk in the park compared to either of those deals.

How is it a good move? I know he is talented and all, but he is too much of a risk to take on. What makes you Cowboys fans think he is going to change? He has been arrested six times, cannot stay out of trouble even during the suspension, and cannot seem to keep out of strip clubs and cause trouble there. And if he goes to Dallas, it is like playing for the NY Yankees of football and the media would be all over every incident he has. It would be a total distraction to the team; look at the Romo-Jessica Simpson relationship and their trip to Cabo during the bye week in the playoffs. As a Giants fan, I can definitely say it hurt them. He also is accused of shooting a man leaving him paralyzed from the waste down. Guess where that happened: a strip club. He is a disaster waiting to happen and he has not done anything to make Goodell want to reinstate him for next season. He may not even play and if he does, it is a travesty. Just b/c he is a pro athlete, it does not mean you can get away with so many crimes. He should not be playing and you are right; issues on character definitely distract the team. Look at TO: After the Eagles lost the Super Bowl, he blamed McNabb and complained he did not get paid enough and his actions affected them the entire season after. He has been quiet in Big D b/c they have been winning, but after 2 bad playoff losses and his crying like a little baby after the loss to the Giants, he may be a ticking time bomb ready to go off again. And Tank Johnson may have been signed and has not been in trouble since, but he was arrested for DUI, which is not even close to shooting someone and paralyzing them and he also does not find himself in constant trouble with the law at strip joints. Once you are a criminal, you're always a criminal. He would just be a constant distraction to the team, especially one that has constant media coverage like the Cowboys.

I think that you would be crazy to give anything for him. The Cowboys are too close to put another character guy the team they still have T.O. Pacman Jones is a thug and people like that should be banned!
